Sweet! I managed to get this move a sprite using interrupts example working with my own Z80 assembler (needed some slight code upgrades)...I'm very happy! I'll now try something similar with my Pascal -> Z80 cross-compiler!

If you can get the keypresses right on your first try to get CIRCLE on a ZX Spectrum you’re probably old enough for anything.

I've still got my Spectrum ZX81, with 16k ram pack and the games on cassette that only occasionally loaded after 20 minutes of waiting

I used to plug a 16K RAMpack into a ZX81 to get my game on.

I had to restart Windows ME ten times a day!

I had to manually configure my SoundBlaster.

Sinclair Spectrum +2A (Amstrad) (1987)
Untested, Dirty & smashed in the post, but that's my kind of challenge, especially on my current 8-bit kick at the moment
❌Case is broken
❌Tape belt stretched
🤷‍♂️No idea if it works
❌No PSU
❌No Video Cable
❌No Joystick
LET'S 🫧🪛 IT!🧵👇

36. Skool Daze (Microsphere) - ZX Spectrum

Did anyone actually have an original copy of this game? It blew my mind when I found out that it wasn't just a school simulator and you actually had to DO stuff to win! Not that I could of course - those shields were just too hard to hit.

ZX Spectrum 48K
Published by Spectrum Games Ltd in 1983

Designed for 16K. Based on the arcade coin-op, DEFENDER, from Williams Electronics in 1981.
Missing the scanner, but does its stuff. Cost £5.50 though! 🤔🕹️

The question I had in mind was: Could you make a real time graphic spectrum thing on a zx81.
Ya know like the bars that move up and down on a cheap hifi.
So an 8bit adc chip that you can sample as often as you can. 3.5mhz z80. 32x24 column B&W display.

The SCROLL keyword was the mainstay of 1K games on the ZX81, as it allowed full screen motion with minimal effort! #TGIF
