I'm interested in exploring better decoder options, but it's on the "not while renting" backburner as then I'd want to fix an aerial outside and all the things!!

I can't see whether or not you can get a Flycatcher & a fan on the Pi together, but this got me wondering about what if you put the SSD under the Pi? I have one of these which achieves that but I haven't yet used it for much (too many projects not enough time! shop.pimoroni.com/products/nvm...

The city I live in is hosting an ice hockey tournament with teams from around Europe. The fans are great and there’s no trouble just a lot of passion. Here’s Angers from France walking to the arena.

Note how he uses the tree stump that someone else created before us as a stairway up the wall! It has 2 levels and is perfecrt for that. Sometimes the dim foxes get "stuck" in the garden and run around like lunatics until they find that exit.

Agree about the Studio - I'd been thinking a used year old Studio might be good as I just don't see the latest iMacs being as good.

I am really struggling with what a good (I usually buy used) replacement for a late intel iMac 5K would be these days. Mine has had a 2Tb storage and 128Gb RAM upgrade. I intend to hang on for a while longer but don't see a natural replacement.

Interesting - my personal machine's an Intel iMac 5K that doesn't get the Tahoe upgrade, so I'd not been able to try it on Intel. Working well on my work M4 though.

Next step with the stock firmware camera... I've got it an SD card and I'll insert that and see if it can be made to capture and store video around motion detection events. It's raining hard, so unlikely to see any cats today :/

I ended up returning that one and buying another identical one... I've put Thingino on it no problems, and held off the OTA upgrade for now having asked in the community Discord. I'll wait until a forthcoming "stable" release. So, we can continue with experiments for now.
