Here’s a great little BTS video from KLM on the acceptance process of its Embaer E195-E2 aircraft, specifically celebrating the 25th delivered. The clash and ultimately bonding of Dutch and Brazilian cultures is a great detail.

I’ve been in London this evening helping to teach a workshop showing folks how to use @grafana.bsky.social to build real time tube status and departure boards. Let’s celebrate with some pictures of actual boards from Kings Cross St Pancras.

Here’s a new bimode EMR train. It’s in diesel mode in Nottingham of course as they will never electrify the midland mainline properly. Photo taken while waiting for the current generation diesels to take me to St Pancras.

Want a tiny little classic Mac 128k emulator to play with? Yeah, you know you do.
Pico Micro Mac (v3) - Joe's Computer Museum
It's the world's smallest and most affordable hardware Macintosh Emulator! Just add Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor and power, and you got a tiny little 128K Macintosh, ready to use! Available as an assembled board without a Pico, or ready to go with a Pico! While you're at it, why not pick up a cool Printed Case for it and make it look similar to an old desktop Mac? Important: Joe's Computer Museum and Ron's Computer Videos do not provide support for using a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 unit with this project. Please Note: If you purchased your unit prior to 1 July 2025, you may want to install one of our updated Firmware files that improves video quality Original 512x342 Screen Resolution, 208k RAM Expanded 640x480 Screen Resolution, 208k RAM Need a starter disk image for use with an SD Card? Download Ron's Awesome Disk Image! Want to replace the baked in ROM boot image? Use the Easy Firmware and Disk Image Creator: http://picomac.bluescsi.com/ You'll need an "On-The-Go" USB Hub for keyboard and mouse. We suggest this! Visited Namsan Mountain and the N Seoul Tower while in Korea. Some pics.

Had a ride home on another Korean 77W. Prestige class, lounge at ICN was nice but lack of priority security is strange.

I have some more pics to post later but for now it’s time to head home from Seoul.

Found in Seoul at a mall yesterday. @rhcmuts.bsky.social

The older trains on the Seoul metro line 2 (circle) still have these nice physical maps of where the train is. They remind me of the one you have @katebevan.com

Had a look around the library in Gangnam as it’s quite a destination location itself. Found this illustrated C++ book.

Visited Gangnam last night.

It’s that time of year when you might be thinking of storing summer cars. My MX-5 used to get used for more of the year than you might think in Washington DC & could carry its own winter wheel set (4th in the boot). Until snow got really heavy I commuted in it with no hard top.

Off to visit Gangnam by metro train shortly.

I’ve been collecting Seoul Metro reusable tickets as they have fun designs that will make nice souvenirs. You do get a small cash deposit refund for returning them to a ticket machine if you don’t want them.

Went #geocaching around Seoul by the river. Wanted to do more of these but it got quite cold and hands were freezing. Currently sat with hot coffee.

Korean feral cats at the World Cup stadium park and also a warning about snakes!

Visited the Oil Tank cultural center in Seoul’s World Cup stadium park.

Who knew there was a Randy’s Donuts in Seoul?!? The second pic is from one of my many visits to the original Inglewood CA one.

Looks like I need another $732 in MQD by end of year to hit status on Delta (without so far having flown on a Delta aircraft this year). Not sure I am that bothered about it but might be a fun miles run???

I love my iPhone but boy the iPad is a pile of crap. No idea how people get stuff done with one. I am using an iPad Pro as my only “computer” this week & it’s shit for basics (edit markdown file in Dropbox, update markdown file in GitHub). A used MacBook Air is so much better.

Coffee Brown @sauceandbrown.bsky.social 🤔 Hongdae, Seoul.

Not the upstairs on the 747-8i that I originally booked (equipment swapped a few days before my flight) but Korean’s 77W prestige is decent. Food excellent, seat and entertainment systems a bit tired, smooth flight. Arrival at ICN and transfer to rail transport to the city easy!

I've been playing around with the #Chicago transit APIs and @grafana.bsky.social - here's work in progress on an L train departure board for a given station/platform.
