Found this 1908 report for the Victorian government that laid the groundwork for electrification. Interesting to read how this English rail engineer specifically contrasts the already existing busy Melbourne system with European and American ones.

Don't know the reason for that but it's planned to extend S5 to S-Vaihingen every 15 and Böblingen every 30 relatively soon (like in two years or so)

S12 will be a strong contender for the shortest S-Bahn line, with a running time of 6 minutes for 7.5 km. Only some peak journeys are extended to either Heidelberg and/or Hockenheim.

It replaces the RB67 service Frankfurt-Schwetzingen, splitting/joining from the RB68 Frankfurt-Heidelberg

Grand route number switcheroo in the Rhine-Neckar region coming soon! Half of the S-Bahn lines are getting new numbers

On some lines, the timetable itself remains largely the same, but S6, S9 and S12 have a different concept than today

Route number changes

S5 becomes S7
S51 becomes S8
S6 splits into S5 and S6
S7 and RB67 become S12
S8 becomes S10
S9 splits into S6 and S9
