I’ve seen it done to varying degrees, though it’s hard to say if it’s purposeful or not. Usually you end up seeing critique of ‘why is this person acting this way, they have the memories of an adult, they should know better.‘ And that’s a hard line to walk unless you explicitly explain the point.

I can sort of remember two films I had that experience with. One was White Noise, the other was one of the Hulk movies, probably 2003. i chose to watch them, on dvd, and after some time I started flipping through channels to see what else was on. Totally forgetting these were dvds.

Dog Soldiers was one I discovered late. But I always loved Lake Placid and Tremors. Though I don’t think Tremors holds any thrills or scares after so many watches. It’s all hell yeah now.

According to my extensive research(I asked a friend), Fairies can be jackalopes but jackalopes cannot be fairies. I don’t understand the math on this but I hope this helps.

Multiple book series. I think there was even a teen spin off series about kids who were ‘left behind’. Though I was well out of it by then, thank god.

I don’t know. Maybe this is all wrong. i haven’t read an actual comic book from the major groups in ages. I’d much rather read summaries of full story arcs. Or have somebody summarize them. Though that mostly means I just like a story to have an end.

But that’s a different issue I have.

Perhaps it’s a blessing, when horrible decisions are made, they can be undone. But when good decisions are made, that is also true. And it depresses me to see the good more than seeing the bad erased cheers me up.

So I guess I like the stupid stories, the weird nonsense.
