My contribution to the speeding discourse is that the Autobahn has fewer accidents per distance traveled than US highways despite having no speed limits. We should:
1. Create more pedestrian spaces in urban areas.
2. Make it harder to get a license.
3. Remove cops from traffic enforcement entirely

There's good reason public defenders, pretty much across the board, are against gun bans. The disparities on them are worse than the drug war.

So many of my liberal friends go "we need more gun control" and get mad when I point out the actual impact of what they're asking for: marginalized people lose further rights, white people have a small barrier they can just hop over.

i sure am glad i work at a normal company where i dont have to do free PR (badly) to cape for my bosses idiot decisions that keep getting me publicly harassed. did you sign up for this when you started working at bsky? did you at least get a sick sign on / equity bonus? girl i sure hope so!
i think something that has become extremely clear is that the way we communicate with and about each other online has gone way off the deep end. the degree to which folks claim moral superiority yet talk about others with absolute disdain and disregard is not a good indicator of where we are going.
