The accreditation process for foreign-trained practitioners is much more complex and not easy at all. Starts with the accreditation of the medical schools from which they graduated.

Solutions include PROVINCES lifting barriers to the accreditation process for foreign-trained doctors to make it easier for internationally trained doctors to practice in Canada, as well as reducing administrative burdens on doctors, and providing more spaces⤵️

My job with AHS was to follow up with doctor’s accreditation on an annual basis. I actually de-licensed one of Smith’s favourite vaccine deniers William Makis (CPSA just reiterated that Makis is not licensed to practise medicine in Alberta on Sept 25, 2025). Foreign trained docs have it harder.
