The Alberta UCP Convention is an embarrassment to Canada. Booing Smith for delivering a key deal, droning on about independence. Fuck, I'm tired of seeing these backwater losers, what a party of ignorant, angry, JACKASSES. Their whole world is Ottawa, always the victim, bore me to tears. #cdnpoli

Prime Minister Mark Carney disagrees with the concept of a premier of one province unilaterally taking over a different province but his hands are tied by his unwillingness to do anything about it.

BC has offered to expand production of the existing TMX line. BC has offered to dredge Burrard Inlet to allow bigger tankers. These practical concessions will vastly increase oil production. Carney should support these feasible options, instead of this highly unlikely, divisive pipeline. #cdnpoli

Objectively, PM Carney's handling of this pipeline issue-the decisions he's now made-has the real potential to be a brutal political calculation, with little real world economic upside. The NDP and Bloc must be ecstatic today, and I don't see the payoff for the Libs. #cdnpoli

Hurry, someone tell Pierre Poilievre, the CBC is reporting about an MP resigning and he isn't a CPC member. Maybe because NEWS is NEWS asshat. #cdnpoli
November 27, 2025 at 9:35 PM
It's beyond comical to me to have Danielle Smith beaming, while Poilievre is carving this deal. Which is it? This guy should just STFU, he's a joke on this issue. #cdnpoli
November 27, 2025 at 9:27 PM
Can someone explain why we need another pipeline route, when one already exists? Why can't we twin the TMX line? Why can't we expand Vancouver port capacity? I don't get it and nobody seems to know. #bcpoli #cdnpoli #abpoli

I hope a reporter asks Danielle Smith tomorrow if she agrees with Pierre Poilievre that her MOU with the Feds is "meaningless". This guy just can't turn off his partisanship, he's a useless troll. #cdnpoli
November 26, 2025 at 11:40 PM
Tim Powers made an astute point on CBC. PM Carney is governing like a man that doesn't want to be a politician for 15 years, he's doing what he thinks the country needs, without consideration for future personal ambitions. I agree, and what a refreshing deviation from the norm. #cdnpoli
November 26, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Every Poilievre sound bite I've heard the last few weeks rings hollow, just the usual hyper partisan bullshit that people are tired of, he's falling flat. What exactly does he think he's accomplishing? I may be biased, but I guarantee he isn't winning any concerts with this sad routine. #cdnpoli

So it turns out, the US peace plan was actually written by Russia. There should be more outrage from world leaders, this is pure madness what is happening. #cdnpoli

ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

PM Carney best be careful, because so far he's completely mishandling the optics around this MOU with Alberta. Alienating British Columbia is bad, bad politics and people are hopping mad how this "deal" has gone down. Plenty of time to get it right, but he's getting wrong so far. #cdnpoli

It's simply stunning to me that more conservatives aren't calling for their party to dump this albatross. He's literally the government's biggest asset atm. Says a lot about this new CPC base under him. Angry and clueless. Toe fungus is more popular. #cdnpoli

I like that Mark Kelly hinted there will be a post-Trump era and actions may just have consequences then. #uspoli

Can someone explain why we need a new pipeline route through BC? Why can't they just double the TMX line, I don't get the need for a separate path? The Vancouver oil port only has a ship a day, surely it can handle one more? Can someone explain why Prince Rupert is even in play? #cdnpoli

Wow, wow, wow. So I went on X and the "For You" function. I was beyond stunned, post after post after post of right wing garbage, literally nothing of balance, a barrage of slanted posts. How can any new user not be influenced by this astroturfing of right win ideology? Actually scary. #cdnpoli

There is still much damage Trump will inflict, but I think we're past peak Trump Derangement Syndrome. His polling is abysmal, his coalition showing cracks, he's being openly mocked at G20, the economy is a mess, the courts deliver setback after setback, he looks a LOSER lame duck. #cdnpoli

Im sorry, this is abhorrent on so many levels. This guy is a serial killer, who murdered a dad over a used truck, "good behaviour" is irrelevant in this instance. The poor families. #cdnpoli
