So, at this point, I need help. Shares, donations, anything in between.

I hate even asking, because I know that SO many people are in the same exact spot. But I need help, and I need to be transparent about that.

Thank you to everybody who has already donated, and shared.

But right now? Things are tricky. I'm hoping that we can finally get some sort of an answer today, potentially. I've been on a war path when it comes to trying to get her doctor and her neuro to do... really ANYTHING to help her out.

Watching someone I love quietly lose hope is horrible.
So, I have to share my GFM again. Primarily because at this point, even trying to do freelance work has been nearly impossible because of the care I've been trying to provide for Katie. I've gotten some done, and I am incredibly thankful that folks have been patient with me because of it.
They requested that she get an EEG. She did. Three weeks ago. And they've been sitting on that EEG for almost three weeks at this point, with no results or readings.

So, my days have been filled with playing phone tag with medical professionals, trying to figure out what the hell is happening.
So, it's time to get vulnerable again.

Some good news: Katie was able to go to work for the first time in almost two months this week. The bad news? She's back on the seizure train nearly every morning, because her neurologist is being stubborn about providing medication.
If you're looking for one hell of a writer, and even more of a hell of a guy, @peagle05.bsky.social should be on your radar. From Indies to AAA, he's the man. Plus, if you need sports for your site? I can't name anyone more suited to cover your Madden/CFB needs.
Who's got two thumbs and was unceremoniously booted from his job? THIS GUY. So, if anyone has a room for a writer who can handle AAA's and indie games equally well or if you have space in PR for someone looking to make a jump, my DMs are open
I hate event having to ask, as I know that there are... countless people who have it much worse than Katie and I do. But I'm hoping that even if you can't donate, a quick share will help out more than words could describe. Thank you again, everybody: www.gofundme.com/f/medical-em...

We're hoping that Katie should be good to go back to work sooner than later, but I'm still on the search for work. That means it's time for me to post this link again, because we've got to do our best to keep up on all of our bills.
That being said, we've already crossed the 50% mark! Which is... also just as dumbfounding to me, to be completely and utterly honest. It's wild to see that Katie and I have this much support, and it means the world to us.
Good morning! First off, I want to say THANK YOU to everybody who has already donated and shared to help me out. For someone who is supposed to be a "writer", I don't have the words to properly express how grateful I am for every single one of you.
Sam is an absolutely beautiful, wonderful human being. With the state of the industry right now, all we can do is continue to support our friends during this difficult time.

Even if you can't help with a donation right now, share, share, share to help spread the word.
I hate asking for help as often as I do, but as I continue to hunt for work and freelance opps, money continues to be a major struggle.

I’m almost $200 in the red and want to avoid bank fees if at all possible. Anything helps, especially shares. 🩷

My wife and I can survive for a while longer as I navigate a tricky job market, and she works toward recovery.
I spent a lot of time in tears yesterday, as it was the first time in a while that I finally felt... hopeful that things were going to turn around for the better. We've almost already hit the 50% marker, which is absolutely bonkers, and at this point?
Yesterday was an incredibly emotional day. The reception to my GoFundMe has completely and utterly shocked me beyond words, and I am incredibly thankful to every single person who has decided that I am worth their time, effort, and money.
The reception to this has had me in tears all day long. I finally feel like there's a bit of a light at the end of the tunnel, and I am so, so thankful for everyone who chipped in so far
That's why I had to make a GoFundMe. I'm still looking for work on a daily basis, and applying everywhere I can. I hate to ask for help, because I've always found a way to make things work. But right now? I feel helpless, lost, and scared.

I need to be vulnerable for a moment: I need help. I've been out of work since July 2025, and I'm running low on funds. My wife has been out of work for the past 6 weeks due to daily seizures, and I'm struggling hard both financially and mentally.

At this point, even if I were to get hired today for a position, I still need to get caught up a fair bit. We've had, this month alone, 3 separate ER visits for Katie's medical issues, and I seriously have no clue what else I can do. Thankfully, my bills are paid for this month, but next month?
I hate to even consider doing a GoFundMe, but I'm hoping for a little bit of help. I've been taking on Freelance work whenever possible, but things have dried up a fair bit as of late, and I don't know what to do. Even if you can't donate, if you can share, I would be incredibly grateful.
