Could we maybe just agree that the system that creates these horrible humans (and often lets them be in charge of things) is broken? Not saying I have the perfect solution, but MORE OF THE SAME + EXTRA RACISM doesn't seem like a winner.

It's been over a month since we launched The Séance of Blake Manor & we have been blown away by the reception we have had from press & players alike.

In our latest devlog we look at what an incredible few weeks it has been: store.steampowered.com/news/app/139...

I'm struggling to articulate my feelings about this book without sounding like a creepy, sycophantic AI bot. But it's just that good and you should all read it immediately.
I wrote The House of Beauty because the beauty industry has always been a mirror, a mask, and a weapon. This book is about who profits from our insecurities—and how we reclaim our power.

Pre-orders have begun. <3

Remember when Amazon held a sale during Independent Bookstore Day in an effort to undercut indie bookstores?

We didn’t forget. Support local bookstores during Small Business Saturday and beyond.

One of the few things that pleases me about the AI era - I AM A HACKER NOW!

And people say English Lit has no practical applications.
Looks like LLMs are *very* vulnerable to attack via poetic allusion: "curated poetic prompts yielded high attack-success rates (ASR), with some providers exceeding 90% ..."

So, we'll bring people in to do the kind of jobs existing residents desperately want. And make life miserable for those who might fill vital roles in sectors like elder care and agriculture.

I've been an immigrant with insecure status. IT SUCKS. And I only did 4 years, not 30...

Frustrated that Alberta made it so hard to get flu and Covid shots this year. Cheered to hear that in my area, patient demand is higher than expected. Lucky to now be double jabbed, and not have to pay $140 for the privilege. (If having an autoimmune condition counts as luck?)

Look, I am an imperfect Amazon avoider. Sometimes I really need a specific item and can't find anyone else to ship it to rural Canada.

But let's stop shopping 'deal days'. Amazon hurt their workers all year round, but it ramps up during sales.

Missed a few Skeets, but we're keeping up with the daily movies! Clown in a Cornfield was #4, and a ton of fun.

You might recognize lead actor Katie Douglas from Ginny & Georgia - what a talent!

Day 3 called for some horror-comedy; we always have a few of these on the list! And Deadtectives was suitably ridiculous. It's no Deathgasm or Tucker & Dale vs Evil, but still hit the spot.

Every year, hubs and I try to watch 31 horror movies in October. Our record is 27 (life happens) - can we make 2025 a perfect score?

First up tonight was Dangerous Animals (2025) - Aussie shenanigans, surfers and sharks!

There's still room on the list - any recs for #halloweenhorrorwatch ?

Lovely people of #scriptsky : I have a 95 page horror feature that I could really use some notes on. Would anyone be up for a script swap?

Even if you could give my first 10 pages a read, I'd be super grateful. I can also offer other wordsy editing/proofing/copy services in return!
