Yup. We ain't got much going for us, except dogged investigative journalism, celebrity reality show casting, and...erm...supermarket meal deals?

Do it! Tell yourself it's just practice, for when you're a 'real writer'. Then keep practicing 😉

I feel sorry for these lonely, nuclear family obsessed weirdos. Auntie is a vibe category. Sometimes it's just your Nan's best mate, or your neighbour who you kind of adopted by accident. If they pop round on holidays and they're old, they're your aunt/uncle.

Same! I mean, you could argue the first image is the main character...

Woah, hang on, that's 0.016% of the country. There's just no real consensus on this issue.

Excellent rain metaphor - I feel similar. Systemic change is tough, and hard resets hurt, especially the most vulnerable. But voters feel things breaking, they want solutions - yet somehow envisioning a fairer society is naive, while AI productivity hype and xenophobia is grown-up politics...

Solid picks! Angel hair with butter and Parm is my comfort food - what Nonna would make if I was off sick from school. But yeah, only good lightly coated with your fave form of fat + aromatics - wet sauce (tomato 🤢) is just vile. And fusilli ends up too hard in the middle and soggy at the edges.

See, I love a silly concept episode! But sadly, don't think it works with a 10 episode season. Give 'em 22 and we can have Gorn speed dating and a plague that turns people into mimes.

Yeah, reckon we've got ourselves a pair of fünfers 😆

Feature for Oct 6th was Terrified (Aterrados).

I might have pitched my expectations a teeny bit high on this one, but some solid jump scares and an interesting premise. Also, lots of dodgy translation on the English captions- why?!

Now to choose tonight's flick!

Night #5 of #halloweenhorrorwatch was Cobweb. Excellently creepy atmosphere - Anthony Starr (aka Homelander) is the king of barely restrained menace. Didn't quite stick the landing, but we enjoyed the ride.
