You can take all the meds, you can try all the tricks, but with ADHD you'll never really be over the fact you couldn't take the action you wanted to. It's disenfranchised grief.
I initially read this as “Fail Update” and I was impressed they were calling it that.
Fall Update week is coming soon to Tailscale 🍂

We’re making it even easier to build securely, manage effortlessly, and connect seamlessly.

This is such a funny redux of the bad baby Jesuses in medieval art
Kids in hyperrealistic modern triple-A video games continues to be the funniest hurdle.

The Guardian is reporting that since Israel and Hamas signed the ceasefire and full hostage exchange agreement, Israel has violated the ceasefire 47 times, killed 38 Palestinians, and wounded another 143 more.

Meanwhile Hamas has released all remaining hostages.

It Was Never About The Hostages.

As well as #Spotify paying artists hardly anything at all, they’re now running ads recruiting for ICE.

If the crap remuneration for artists wasn’t enough to dump them, perhaps this is.
It is. Thanks Malcolm.

But something is still causing spikes, and the packet loss hasn’t gone away. So I spend another half hour working out what it is, and it's getting warm in the office so I open a window… that's a nice breeze, ooo, that's a wonderful gust… is… is the packet loss correlated with the gusts of wind?!
That worked a little, but things go awry if any other major upstream happens. Right, let's prioritise browsing and interactive traffic, the first x bytes of traffic is fine but deprioritise anything after. Cool, that's done it…
Tried just reducing the upstream pipe and turning PIE on (uh, RFC8033 for details) and that helped but latency still spiked to hundreds and often thousands of ms with the occasional packet loss. Okay, let's weigh where the traffic is coming from and deprioritise things that's choking the upstream…
I've been working on traffic shaping for a client, they need to have as much upstream as possible but they’re connected over FttN and the upstream is only capable of ~15Mbit, so whenever they're uploading bulk data their interactive use suffers.

Hubble’s was on my shortlist when you mentioned it.
That’s a hard nagwall. With a non-hard ones being the ones you can close.
But someone sensible has apparently allowed people to use their ATO myID as “Digital ID” for myGov and I managed to login with no issues as I use the ATO systems at least once a year.

I am genuinely surprised that such a curiously sensible option exists.
So I was dreading this as I knew the non-standard code generator needed to be transferred with a working device or the same mobile number, neither of which I still have, and even if I got that far I know people who’ve had their myGov accounts deleted as they hadn’t used it in a couple of years…
myGov code Generator: A device is already registered to your myGov account. Go to your myGov account settings to remove the device...

myGov: To remove the device, enter the code from the myGov Code Generator app.

And then the best bit...
Yeah, that’s always been my thinking. Explorers would push the bleeding edge, while cultural exchange, trade, and colonisation can happen in sailing timeframes.
It’ll buff out.

“Without hunger and thirst among the Gazan population, we will not succeed in recruiting collaborators, we will not succeed in recruiting intelligence, [or]... in bribing people with food, drink, medicine, in order to obtain intelligence.”

I love finding random ":wq"s in my files.
I love/hate finding something not matching my docs only to find a record of my account making the change in the logs. #SysAdminLife
I like to “ accidentally “ walk into them, thumping loudly as I do so. They get so pissed off.

Jesus Christ this is just a paraphrasing validation machine. This is like if therapy was incredibly harmful. As in not accidentally harmful but its intent was to actually drive you to harm. This algo has no goal, it just responds to the person in the moment. It’s like toxic present centredness

I think one of the most telling exhibits of the Australian national character is that not every house in Queensland even has ceiling fans
