i'm not that excited about the gay marriage thing. i reject the very notion of anyone needing a govt stamp to represent their lifetime dedication to someone. begging for gay marriage imo was a capitulation to and an acceptance of an alienating and incorrect framework

many ppl highlighting flaws in this article. but having fought in the "80% desistance" wars of the mid-2010s, I remember asking anti-trans activists if they'd be ok if 80% of youth were helped by gender-affirming care (flipping their argument). & they *never* answered. b/c they want *zero* trans ppl

Seems like protests just don't work and all they do is make the people involved feel good and like they did something so when they are 100% complying with fascism in all the places that matter they can think about how they bought a permit and held a sign at a designated area or whatever

smts i wonder abt calling sex artists 'sex workers'. my reasoning is w/sex art it's honestly just average labor, but with sex work it's literally the body being commodified and exploited. i think solidarity makes sense but i think this distinction is important & often flattened
