Going into a hospital in the UK puts you at high risk of getting an airborne infection like Covid. I know because it happened to me and my family. I have long Covid. Please sign and share this petition. It would mean a lot🥰https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/700304

Lakeside Shopping centre has a face mask ban in place. Isn’t considering clinically vulnerable customers.
⚠️LAKESIDE: Please DO NOT discriminated against Clinically Vulnerable families, who are trying to shop safely during a wave of "super flu".⚠️

Would you ban customers in wheelchairs or with hearing aids?

I’m sorry, but it is disgraceful to be an academic who uses this technology to conduct research. It should be prohibited in all of our scholarly institutions, including universities and journals.

Five years on and the guidance still isn’t protecting clinically vulnerable or all from long covid and vulnerable people are being discriminated against. Vaccine restrictions & mask bans. This is not living with covid, this is marginalising a whole swathe of society. It’s been a miserable time

Airborne.

Say it.

#measles is airborne.

To fight measles requires

1) vaccine rates well above 90%
2) airborne precautions

✅ vaccines
✅ respirators
✅ air cleaners
❌ surgical masks

Yesterday I had a letter from my hospital informing me that once again they are moving my appointment on another few months. All of this is due to backlogs caused by poor infection control. Not only is healthcare unsafe for clinically vulnerable & all because we don’t have mitigations for airborne 🧵

It's high time for all hospitals, daycares, public schools and long term care facilities to be taking airborne precautions 24/7 from now until .... well ... forever.

Because so many of the nasties out there, are either predominantly airborne or have an airborne component.

NHS has issued a UK wide stay at home alert and advised people to stay away from others and ‘cover noses and mouths’.

UKHSA are incapable of saying wear a respirator & clean the air.

Yes, vaccines work.

And there are other measures that can help make population-scale vaccination campaigns work even better, starting with

1) Clear, consistent & open scientific decision making
2) PPE in hospitals, daycares, long term care homes and schools
3) Clean air and clean hands

Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.
I'm so tired of measles.

I'm also tired of people using needle shots on stories like this.

Show what measles looks like.

COVID is a systemic disease that can harm the brain, heart, immune system and more.

Every reinfection increases the risk of Long COVID, chronic illness, disability and even death.

If people understood the real danger, they’d take prevention seriously instead of accepting repeated infections.

This isn’t fearmongering — it’s reality. Hospital-acquired COVID can delay care or cost you your health — even your life.

Infection control measures — masks, ventilation, testing, and staff/patient protections — should be standard care in every healthcare setting.
