This is how Chris Mason, like a child filled with wonder, described "the choreography and theatre that surrounds a Budget" in Feb 2024, when a male Tory Chancellor was in post.

"Plans, or even just options, can be floated... Reaction to them can be tested. Opponents can be teased or wrongfooted." 👀

Shocked 😳

What on earth could have prompted that? 😂😂

For anyone... ANYONE... calling for Arne Slot to be sacked at the minute, give your head a wobble and watch this. Collective grief is a thing. Elite athletes spend their lives looking for 1% gains to be winners. Imagine the impact this must have on #LFC as a club.

It says a lot about the current #LFC performances when I misread this as his "mother f*****s" instead of midfielders.

At least, I think I misread it. 🤔😢

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

The fact that Trump can say “quiet piggy” to a reporter and not have it be talked about on mainstream news is beyond insane. He’s normalized his trash talk so no one bats an eyelash at it. That’s beyond insane.

Absolutely this. Where is the integrity? Where is the solidarity? A sitting President aggressively calling any female “Piggy” should be enough to create pushback.
I mean, look, I'm not a reporter, so who am I to talk?

But on a day where the president both just called a woman reporter "Piggy" and is celebrating someone who had people bone saw apart one of my colleagues, I might just be a little ready to defend my colleagues and profession.

But that's just me

Proof, if it were needed, that we are governed by media/headlines. Policy based on facts and strategic thought left our political landscape after Brexit vote. The current government aren't just as bad, they're worse. They'd the opportunity to reset but were too cowardly to do so. Gutting.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

Having had the greatest Chicken Tikka Kebab of my life (from Kebazza Portadown) this evening, I wholeheartedly agree with this.
Thought-provoking segment on ITV News this eve re immigration and social cohesion. My takeaway is @sathnam.bsky.social's comment:

"What we've got in Britain is the most successful multicultural living in the world"

(That, and chicken tikka kebab)
