For my roosters there are four levels of response to attacking me.

Once again I refuse to support billionaires. Rather than replacing my washing machine I tuned mine up ordering parts from a mom and pop shop. Total cost $22 in parts and supplies. I could have gotten the parts cheaper on Amazon. Instead I say fuck the oligarchy.

Too many people think the issue is "ai look bad" not the stolen data sets not the workers rights not the climate change and the fact that people CANNOT AFFORD TO TURN ON THEIR HEAT because they're subsidizing data centers, let alone the misinformation and fascism

Our society confuses me to no end. We have multiple banned books in my state to protect children. We cannot however ban apps that show video of violence, sexual content or execution. I had a student describing a brutal execution they saw via the Scoopz app.

I had a crazy interaction in a meeting at work yesterday. My coworker said hey Matt's going to make Turkish delight for everyone. I looked at my coworker and said have you lost your ever loving mind? My boss looked at me and said what I said. He may as well volunteer me to make Divinity.

Quick thought, if you critique food lovingly prepared for you, you're not an expert, you're a dick. I critique food at restaurants because I pay for it and want what is advertised. I love my wife's cooking even if it has burned edges and raw center. I'll do the dishes.

I think the designer of my camp chef smoker deserves an award. I chain smoke with it every weekend come rain, snow or sunshine. It's five years old and I have changed the heat rod once. The thing is a trooper.

I wish my nephew and his wife weren't so damned lazy. He goes to work before I do and gets home long after I do. His wife works full time while pregnant and they have a little one. He works six days a week. They can't afford food. They don't spend extravagantly. ... They're lazy.

Today I had a smh moment when I was advised to be careful about biology curriculum if it referenced eggs, sperm or anything remotely sexual. No wonder red states trust RFK for medical advice. We teach high school level biology as mysticism like it's a virgin birth. Ooh look life is magic.

I don't mind my neighbors moving in from out of the state. I do find their lack of familiarity with fire obnoxious. A tended fire in a fire ring for cooking isn't a big deal. I'll share the Dutch oven food if they come say hello. No need to call the fire department.

In French cooking it's normal to make a roux at different stages of cooking. Once I jokingly asked a saucier what he called the half cooked one. Raw butter and flour is a "berr." He said "berRRR." We laughed and moved on. As I am making homemade country gravy I keep repeating it Chewbacca style.

For anyone having a rough time cooking take heart. Fire department had to respond to a fire from a dropped turkey in my city. Your day could be worse. If you dropped your turkey and set your oven on fire, and you're in my city. Reach out and I'll feed your family.
