I expect @anglo-european.bsky.social would just like the same kind of protection and treatment that you’ve received @ibarrurilives.bsky.social

What about Anglo’s 🇪🇺 dream?

bsky.app/profile/ibar...
It really winds me up, those of us who had the courage to pursue our 🇪🇺 dream have jumped through more hoops than I can adequately explain. We sold everything, gave up jobs, moved our children, learnt a new language, for the chance of a better life, and these exceptionalists want a golden ticket!!!

We don't need humility. We need politicians to get round a table a start with fixing the TCA, which doesn't work for people with lives in two countries

Why Freedom of Movement of Goods matters bsky.app/profile/gail...
The EU are removing their de minimis threshold next year. So that will be the EU added to the growing list of places that I can’t sell to.
As a small business it’s getting harder and harder to keep going.
Fuck brexit and all who sail in her. 🤬

Instead of targeting specific groups, recognise that Brexit has reduced the freedom to travel of all Britons. Negotiate a mobility deal that ends the 90 in 180 days problem for all Britons.

Brexit the Elephant decided to stand on the despatch box to see if Rachel Reeves would notice him as she read out her budget.

“I reckon she knows I’m here”.

“But they’re still pretending I’m not, though”, he lamented.

Just an aside, and I know you're pro uk citizens having EU citizenship,
Too many people, #starmer included, mistake "Freedom of Movement" (within the EU) with immigration.
They are absolutely not the same.
The EU has rules for #FoM and uk never applied them!

Yeah.

Freedom of Movement is mutual mobility within a finite area for a finite number of people. I don’t really think of that as immigration at all. I doubt many leave voters do either.

It’s just redefining what home means.

84% of Brits support mutual Freedom of Movement anyway.

hosted by MEDAA (Maison Européenne des Auteurs et des Autrices) and bela.

A simple rule of thumb: Any politician who proclaims to be pro-EU while avoiding supporting re-entry to the Single Market is afraid of mentioning Freedom of Movement. Many have been playing that game for 10 years, and pro-EU voters are wise to it. Anything without Freedom of Movement is still Brexit

When I talk about the 90-in-180-day problem, I never mean the 90 days.

I mean the…

1. Shared 29 country allowance
2. The 180 day control period

Both are problems UK gov needs to solve for people and businesses.

Did you know that citizens of certain non EU countries are not affected by the 90-in-180-day problem because of special historic visa waivers their governments agreed with certain Schengen countries?

EES rolls out across Europe.
Brexit the Elephant was having difficulty getting his paw to scan on the new EES machines at the airport.

“I wonder if it likes bananas,” he mused.

“After all, Brexit *is* bananas”, he reasoned, rather proud of his aptitude for logical reasoning.

Did you know that after 90 days visiting Italy, Germany, and Switzerland, a New Zealander can still enter Spain?

But a Brit cannot. How crazy is that?

That’s because of historic bilateral agreements.

True or false?

“After Brexit, EU27 citizens are only allowed to spend up to 90 days in a 180 day period visiting the UK.”

Our campaign asks for

1. Protection under withdrawal agreement (or similar) for everyone living lawfully in Spain part-year before Brexit.

2. UK passport holders to be admitted visa free for up to six months every time they visit Spain irrespective of time in other countries.
