Mostly tediously twee nonsense. Sporadic enthusing about flamenco dancing and cycling to see Cardiff Bay's sunrises. Occasional passing references to being a weary, aging academic librarian.
Delighted to report that a young person's overriding response to my objectively demonstrating the generative AI tool in our resource discovery layer was mild disgust. #LirbarianChat

Friends gave me a lift in their elderly car on the weekend. There was an excellent stick in the back seat. Neat. Well proportioned. Nicely weighted. We chatted about the stick.

Anyway, they messaged to say their car has had to be scrapped. Sad times. So. Is it appropriate to ask about the stick?

Last weekend at a flamenco workshop, a Spanish flamenco singer, who also dances beautifully, said, unprompted, that I am 'good'. I've been buzzing about that all week.

Related, I'm not a fan of Strictly's superlative effusions.

Every time, every flipping time I drive on the Ely section of the A4232 (in Cardiff) I think about Maureen from 'Driving School' and this moment.

I was wondering why this lady looked so sad wearing such an excellent jumper, then I saw the price.

Just had my undercut tidied up at the hairdresser's by a different stylist, who was chatting about cutting designs into and dyeing undercuts. NOW I WANT ONE! Look at these... Ooooo...

Academic: Is there any data available on how often these books are accessed by students?

Me: *cackles delightedly and spends an hour compiling borrowing and in-house usage stats across multiple editions of many, many titles*
