United States Marine Corps Private First Class Harold Gonsalves was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic action during the Battle of Okinawa in WWII. The Trump “administration” has removed his photo from federal government content./1

Today in history, 1979: As many as 125,000 LGBTQ+ people and straight allies converge on Washington, D.C. to demand equal civil rights. The National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights was the combined effort of a coalition of local and national LGBTQ+ organizations. /1

Some of those people are currently on the staff of elected Republicans, in fact. They’re part of the present of the GOP.

Q: Politico reported on a group chat of young Republicans. Does this just reflect some bad apples?

HOCHUL: Some bad apples? These are the future of the GOP. This is so vile it's hard to find the words to put into context ... there's gotta be consequences ... this bullshit has to stop.

Greg Bovino, Kristi Noem, and DHS need to answer for their unchecked attacks on Chicago residents.

ICE is an out-of-control danger to our peaceful communities.

The images from the Sun-Times today speak for themselves.

Jason Houser, former ICE Chief of Staff: “This Isn’t Crisis Response. It’s Crisis Construction.”

"Immigration enforcement has become the administration’s primary political weapon — not to solve problems, but to manufacture fear, provoke outrage and stage an illusion of control."

A mom in Houston reported her 15-year-old son with autism missing. She spent 6 days terrified, searching for him. The whole time, Houston police knew exactly where he was since they helped ICE place him in a refugee facility.

This is beyond cruel.

It is alarming that the Trump Admin & rogue ICE agents would abduct a 13-year-old child from Everett, transport him to a facility over 500 miles away & reportedly subject him to harrowing conditions.

They must stop violating our constitutional rights.

My full statement:
A graphic that reads:

“It is absolutely alarming that the Trump Administration and its rogue ICE agents would abduct a 13-year-old child, transport him to a facility over 500 miles away without his family, lawyer or a court knowing, and reportedly subject him to harrowing, inhumane conditions, including inadequate nutrition and sleeping on a concrete floor with an aluminum blanket while still healing from a broken foot.

“He is a 7th-grader who should have been met with compassion and care, not criminalized and sent to an adult prison.

“The Trump Administration must stop violating the constitutional rights of our constituents. I join the chorus of community voices demanding basic adherence to due process, preservation of this child’s constitutional rights, and his immediate return to his family.”

President Trump said Tuesday that the U.S. could step in to disarm Hamas — “quickly and perhaps violently” — if the organization did not do so itself, a potential vulnerability in the ceasefire agreement.

Hamas has not yet publicly agreed to or signed anything that specifies how it would disarm, but Trump suggested he had received verbal assurances the group would.
