Today on Indicator: 2025 has been a banner year for AI nudifiers. I found another 9,000 ads on Meta since my last report, bringing the total for this year to 25,000. The top 10 nudifying websites got 10 million views in October.
Nonconsensual nude generators had another banner year. What will it take to defeat them?

A councilmember who won his primary last year with 23.7% of the vote wants to delay implementing ranked choice voting. The at-large CM who won her last primary with 35.9% agrees that making her run for reelection next year under RCV would be a bad idea.
Felder continues to be critical of the election board's capacity to pull off ranked-choice voting in 2026.

"Before we roll out something of this magnitude I would think we need to do a needs assessment," he says to Evans. "You’ve been tasked with an arduous task. It’s unfair."

More of this is needed. These sites are the direct and *intentional* facilitators of the creation of CSAM. California’s new law, AB621, will make this more possible.
In her complaint, the teen—who was granted anonymity as a 17-year-old minor—accused ClothOff of intentionally making it easy to generate and distribute child sexual abuse materials (CSAM), as well as nonconsensual intimate images.

I’ve got a new piece out! DC’s bus shelter system has been broken for far too long and the District can now do something about it - but there’s still room to improve. Check out my latest in @ggwash.org

Analysis of 85 nudifiers from @indicator.media says they're averaging a combined 18.5 million visitors monthly and in the last six months may have made up to $18m in 6 months

Excellent read on the network behind "ClothOff" and how nudify apps are more and more operating as scaled businesses (even buying out their competitors). Scaled business = scaled image based sexual abuse.

Now available in English too (thank you for that)

If @wmata.com wants real bus rapid transit then I hope they can put up the money to help @ddotdc.bsky.social get it done. DDOT has some of the best bus priority planners in the country but the current bus priority budget doesn’t allow for true BRT.

Please consider this @wmatagm.bsky.social!
DC’s Metro has effectively killed talk of expanding the rail system because of high construction costs. Getting bus lanes right & getting transit out of traffic is the only alternative.

This was an amazing surprise to see yesterday. Arguably, the most popular platform for deepfaked non-consensual pornographic videos is being shut down!

Good riddance, MrDeepFakes! Hopefully this will start a cascade of other sites being shut down?

This part is really critical. Mr Deepfakes was a hub for abusers teaching each other and collaborating as well as one of the first places I observed advertising for nudify apps. Sadly this is too little too late but I’m glad to see it.
