If you're a Not Disabled person and you're setting up a room for a meeting, what do you wish you had as guidance to include disabled people?

A fold out paper "wheelchair space guide" for ex.

What actual, practical stuff would you want? What kinds of guidance? (Making a pack for local parties)

Caught short? I so love all the work @carolinerussell.bsky.social puts in to improving access to toilets in London. More of this everywhere!!
🚽 World Toilet Day today and I’m off to join the @londonlooalliance.bsky.social at White Hart Lane to enjoy one of the new toilets installed by TfL.

💷 So glad that I eventually got the Mayor to put £3m a year for five years into improving toilet availability on the transport network.
Busy week at City Hall - publication last week of the toilet feasibility study was a big milestone in my push for the Mayor to include public toilets as an accessibility measure on the TfL network and was amazing to get to talk about it on Sunday Politics.

Love that EVERYONE loves toilets 😍

Wild that the response to this question on pavement obstructions is almost entirely focused on e-scooters and hire bikes (primarily a London problem), rather than the big four-wheeled things which are a national and much greater problem.
A question on #PedestrianAreas #Standards tabled by Manuela Perteghella on 10-11-2025 has been answered by Lilian Greenwood. https://questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-questions/detail/2025-11-10/89198

It's the same thing. LITERALLY.

(The "AI-powered surveillance" will be some bullshit from a major donor.)
The British government admits it is now monitoring VPNs use by UK residents. Regulator Ofcom has contracted with an AI-powered surveillance service to detect the number of citizens using VPNs to evade the Online Safety Act.

Given that AI is notoriously bad at arithmetic (because large language models are guessing machines) and have a habit of being a bit racist (because they amplify bias in their training data) this seems like such a great idea…

The Greens (in England and Wales) may be all about crushing Labour right now with our focus on social justice, but we are also fighting traditionally blue areas by doing good work and not being awful people.

I was out today in leafy Hale, doing exactly that with @traffordgreenparty.bsky.social
