And I'm sure that there are people out there who your game really resonates with, it's just a matter of figuring out how to get it in front of them. It sucks that the internet is so bloated with slop that it's a challenge to actually find the good stuff now

And that's definitely one of the drawbacks of the indie space, but I still think it's critically important to stay true to the art you want to make VS trying to have broad appeal

I think the less safe/marketable games are the more gamers are challenged to lock in and actually engage with them!

And really this goes for all forms of art, not just game dev. We need to collectively remind ourselves to slow the hell down and savour the art we consume. We're so used to just burning through a series and instantly demanding more. Stop and really take in the media you consume 🤌

All I want are games that people took time, care & joy in making. Let it be weird. Let it look imperfect/messy. Let it have a frustrating gameplay mechanic or two. So long as I can feel the passion that went into making it I will always prefer it over hyper polished AAA titles churned out every year
