How come reply guys, when called out, always resort to "couldn't resist a joke" or "just a joke"? There's no humor, nothing funny, just being a pest.

I wrote a story about guys being pests, and it starts with "just a joke." It doesn't end with a laugh though. Their interactions never do.

It’s not a great deal if you don’t need it. And especially this year, others really need support. So for all of us who have enough, let’s refuse to get sucked into the holiday shopping frenzy and share instead of shop. We don’t need more stuff, we need communities where all our neighbors are safe.

Fun fact: For the movie Alien, they actually used a man in a practical suit because the studio was unable to afford a real Xenomorph.

So it’s family movie night and we’re near the end of Fantastic 4 and one of the characters appears to die and I’m all ready to be soothing and comforting like a good parent and that’s when the seven year old shouts “I GUESS NOW THEY’RE THE FANTASTIC THREE!”

I think I struggle writing short stories because never once in my life have I ever told someone a short story without backtracking and going on eleven separate tangents before forgetting where I was even going with it

If it sucks today, and it sucks tomorrow, and it sucks the next day, and sucks next week, and sucks next month, I keep going, and maybe eventually, it won't suck, but that shit doesn't happen if I give up. It's easier said than done. It is. But man, I've got to keep going. And I hope you do, too🍀

Yesterday, my 4 year old nephew was told he could watch a movie after the guests left. He ran out of patience after a while and calmly asked me point blank how many minutes until I left...

I love him so much. A man after my own heart. My man said, "please, get out of my house. I have things to do."

Went into The Big City, did some shopping and ate some cake, and have returned home damp and exhausted. I shall not leave the house again for days and days I think.
