Getting a cancer diagnosis is an absolute gut punch. I got the first statement for my PET scan and 1st round of treatment and we are at $35,000. There is way more to come. I am truly thankful for my employer provided insurance. I can’t imagine not having insurance or having crappy coverage.

We have a cabinet level Secretary of State, a diplomatic corps, Special Envoys, and Defense team to do this work.

“Son-in-law” is not a government job. Kushner does not represent us.

'Matt Gaetz Raped A Homeless Teenager' is what you mean.

A teenager with a homeless parent? What? The fuck? Did she have a home and not allow her parent to live in it? Ended up having sex with? What? Yeah clearly you guys been caping for pedos long enough and you understand the assignment here
A teenager in Florida with a homeless parent wanted money for braces and ended up having sex for money with powerful men, setting off a chain of events that would have a dramatic impact on her life and help upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz. nyti.ms/49PSkL9

I was just diagnosed with cancer. I don’t want to “feel like an entrepreneur”, I want and need affordable insurance.
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

Hi, Jean. My friend is a Nigerian prince who needs to urgently retrieve $1,000,000 from an abandoned trust from his father.

If you can wire $5,000 today, you will be entitled to 35% of the trust. Please reply at your earliest convenience.
Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"

Because the fucking work for us!
BARTIROMO: How do you want this to play out once the ACA subsidies expire?

DR OZ: We have lots of great ideas, but I don't want to show our cards. As the president often says, why would I telegraph to you what we're gonna do?

Chris Coons: "He's not listening to concerns about lowering costs. Instead he's worried about decorating his new Marie Antoinette ballroom or engaging in trying to figure out how to get his name on more statues and stadiums, or he's sitting across the table in the Oval Office with authoritarians."

My son’s health insurance premium will go from $12.68 (with subsidies) to $177 (14 fold increase). Thats IF they dont remove the subsidies. If he loses the subsidy it will be $492. This is why the govt is shut down. Not because of undocumented immigrants getting “free healthcare” 😡

Beshear: Let me be clear. The president has both the funding and the authority to fund snap during a shutdown. In fact, every other president in every other shutdown has done so. People going hungry in this instance is a choice that this president has made.

From the article, she was heard screaming “I have papers!” At a fu@king preschool. These kids are being traumatized. I am so ashamed of what this country is becoming.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

Pure evil
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
