@alanbahr.net removed my pledge without my consent and SILENCED me on Kickstarter simply because I criticized his approach to Backer-solicited proofreading in ttrpg publication in a single comment. This is an extreme overreaction to valid criticism and extremely unprofessional behavior.

I criticized @gallantknightgames.com for soliciting free labor from consumers. Rather than listening to and considering the feedback, they just vengfully refunded my pledge without my consent. Part of publishing work is the ability to take criticism.

Explain to me why the ttrpg industry thinks it's ok to elicit free labor from consumers in the form of copy-editing and/or proofreading. I don't buy the "it helps ensure nothing sneaks through!" Ok, hire people who don't let stuff through. Can't afford to hire people who don't let stuff through?
