When you switch banks you don’t have to move your standing orders/direct debits yourself. Behaviour of others can be influenced by mentioning that you have moved to a more ethical/less environmentally impactful bank and it was an easy/painless process.
There are several psychological tendencies that explain why we find it so hard to break up with our bank.
