Not tryna nay-say. I just think this kinda thinking also sets men up for self-doubt. Men convince themselves they need to be rich or “exceptional” before they can be worthy of a woman. Meanwhile, she already saw him as enough, right up until he managed to convince both of them that he wasn’t.
