This used to be my pinned tweet on Twitter back in the first time around. I hate that I’m pulling it back out again because we’ve learned nothing in nearly a decade. I’m tired y’all. #speakup #standforsomething It’s not too late.

This is so frustrating. You absolutely have a right to know who you are receiving care from and if they are going to be safe to work with. It’s not a client’s responsibility to validate beliefs and no professional is entitled to a client’s time or resources.

Yep. That tracks.

I’d still be there if I had the energy. 💜💛💚 #fibromyalgia sucks.

One of the struggles with #neurodivergence is realizing there isn’t a one size fits all solution. For some people it’s breaking things down into smaller tasks. Some people do great with lists while others don’t. Prioritizing is great when you can do it, but that’s not all the time. #adhd #cptsd

Gentle reminder that things like "you're over reacting" "It's not a big deal" "You are freaking out over nothing" over genuine distress is psychological warfare and gaslighting. It is used to undermine the individual and make them doubt their resolve and emotions.

I will remind folks every day for as long as it takes until working class Americans hear it and act: Elon Musk called you, me, your grandma, little children, veterans, disabled folks, farmers, ALL OF US "the parasite class". Everything they're doing is to make us suffer and die. It's eugenics.

More people died per day at the height of the pandemic than on 9/11. Where’s our national monument and day of solemnness, moments of silence and reflection?
Try the bread recipe on the back of the King Arthur Gluten Free Bread Flour. I love it!

Pro tip: most gluten free bread in the store is awful until you toast it. Canyon Bakehouse Sweet Hawaiian is pretty decent for me when toasted.
Those look AMAZING!
I’ve heard of people developing several allergies one by one after gallbladder surgery. Gluten and peanut seem to be pretty common ones.
I saw something about that on Reddit a while back. It’s crazy. I haven’t been organized enough to track it and see but I would not be surprised.
One of the hardest things with #chronicillness is recognizing your limits and becoming okay with them. You are okay as you are.

It’s finally starting to warm up and that helps with my #fibromyalgia flares. I try to plan light on days that are cold and stormy. If it’s warm I take advantage of it.
One minute #journaling or #meditation prompt:

What’s the first word that comes to mind without stopping to think about it?

What does that word mean to you?

How does it relate to your past, your present, and your future?

Keeping it short can help with overthinking. #keepwriting
Happy Saturday! If you can try to take a moment to do something that grounds you. Your mind can be your greatest resource or your worst enemy. Even five minutes to reset can make a difference. #chronicillness #cptsd #fibromyalgia
If you are a survivor or you know a survivor of abuse you need to see this. This is why trauma survivors struggle to survive even after escaping abuse. You need to understand these are the people running this country. Both sides are not the same. #trauma #capitalism

The most improvement I’ve seen in life was when I stopped buying into the “daily” trends. Gamification is a tactic used in tech to lock people in. Learning to be ok with skipping things some days because you need that energy somewhere else is important. #selfcare #fibromyalgia #mentalhealth
One of the things people don’t understand about #trauma is that it steals your voice. And not in a metaphorical sense. It becomes nearly impossible to communicate what’s wrong when trauma is triggered. Make sure you have a plan before and check on your loved ones when they are quiet. #selfcare
Today my intrusive thoughts said stay in bed, hide from everyone, can’t trust them or get up, throw all of the seeds I’ve started out into the cold because none of it matters. I chose to work on revamping my journaling meetings to help other #CPTSD and #traumasurvivors. We are not alone.
As a trauma survivor it’s hard to sleep some nights. It’s hard to wake up some mornings and muster the strength to do the things that need to be done. This environment is incredibly destabilizing and disregulating.
I’ve gotten caught in this feeling of chasing the excitement of old WoW, Slashdot, old Twitter, old forums. It’s just so hard to ever shake the dread of #capitalism and allow myself to feel excited and attach to things anymore. #nostalgia #latestagecapitalism

I’m struggling with sleep lately. I think sometimes it’s like the worst parts of #fibromyalgia and #adhd tangle up and nothing seems to help.
Relate, honestly. Every year it gets worse. As things get paid off more expenses take their place.
Going #nobuy or #lowbuy to protest. Consider buying books, especially books at risk of bans. Buy garden supplies and hone goods that lower your food costs. Support local businesses and artists. #votewithyourwallet
Spending Blackout on Feb 28th. This is the best way to get the message out. Pausing all discretionary spending indefinitely helps too, especially tech spending. Vote with your wallet until you can vote at the polls. #notmypresident
