Did some searching and added more Northwest Indiana folks. If I added you and you don't want to be on here, let me know and I'll remove. If you want to be added, let me know and I'll do that, too. #nwi #nwindiana #regionrat

here’s more context to the videos DHS is putting out from Chicago.

Lazy, lazy, lazy

Old man yelling at cloud story: When I was in J School, back in the pre-Internet dark ages, we had current event quizzes, and spelling counted. So, you studied the newspaper and memorized the spelling of people like then-Soviet foreign minister Eduard Shevardnadze.

What's his Wii Fit age? Last time I took a test, it said I was in my 20s! (I'm not in my 20s).

CPD has 20+ injured on duty this afternoon, most/all from federal use of gas. Related: no arrests by CPD, no documented uses of force by CPD. (I wasn't everywhere / didn't see every skirmish. And possibly some late-entry TRR forms to come.) Saw two federal arrests, saw one on video didn't witness.

Chaos in Brighton Park. This is representative of the amount / direction of pepper and smoke sent into the neighborhood, in this case, for no reason I can discern other than because they were leaving. Feds had a clear path out in a different direction, and residents were vocal but not violent here.

NEW: ProPublica obtained records from the Department of Agriculture that detail the millions of pounds of food, down to the number of eggs, that never reached food banks because of the Trump administration’s cuts to an aid program.

Exactly. I see two ways this can go, and both are horrible for the GOP.
1. Give in to Democratic demands and hand a political victory to a party that's trying to sell its vision to the electorate.
2. End the filibuster, reopen the government and own every single awful, inevitable outcome.

"Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress has been temporarily interrupted."

I guess the Kimmel news hit the Disney Parks.

I’m old enough to remember when Bob Iger, whose company recently paid $16 million to settle a meritless Trump lawsuit, and who just indefinitely suspended Jimmy Kimmel under pressure from the Trump administration, was a chair for the **Committee to Protect Journalists** dinner.
New York, November 22, 2006-The Committee to Protect Journalists marked its 25th anniversary
by honoring four journalists with its 2006 International Press Freedom Awards in a
ceremony Tuesday night which highlighted record-setting attacks on the press in Iraq.
More than 850 people attended the benefit dinner which raised $1.3 million. It was co-chaired by Robert A. Iger, president and chief executive officer of the Walt Disney Company, and John S.
Carroll, the Knight Visiting Lecturer at the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics, and Public Policy at Harvard University. Christiane Amanpour, CNN's Chief International Correspondent and CPJ board member, hosted the dinner.

I’m not even convinced this would work. In the last redistricting, the GOP put more Dems in the 1st District in order to assure the South Bend district previously held by Democrat Joe Donnelly would be safe Republican.

The authoritarian shit is bad on its own, but let's not lose sight of the fact that this Texas law enforcement officer couldn't keep up with a 61-year-old out for her morning walk.

Like the Nazis, these people are evil and pathetic at the same time. Don't miss any chance to mock them as losers.
