Pinned post for those new here: name's Robert! Here's some things to know

-I'm into cosplay!
-I host a music podcast over on @surrealresolution.bsky.social
-I talk way too much about cartoons, movies, games, etc.
-All of my jokes are very lame.
-Have fun sticking around!
Super Mario 64: Classified - a video game creepypasta on youtube about how every copy of Mario 64 is unique and different in scary ways. Has some solid editing and isn't too bad for this sorta story, but there's some odd storytelling decisions that hinder the experience.
-The episode where Khan becomes white trash... I had to double take seeing that buck-tooth guy, Lucky. 'cause I remember seeing him a lot whenever reruns of the show popped up on [as], so I assume he becomes more important going forward.
-Man there is a *lot* of special guests this season: Brad Pitt, Sum 41, Elijah Wood, Kelly Clarkson, Ben Stiller, and too many more to count. Not sure how I feel about this (not to invoke Simpsons again but this feels like late-era Simpsons' MO), but at least the trucker episode made sense.
-Between episode plots like Flat Stanley, the murder house, the old grocery store etc.. I feel like once again they're kinda struggling to find stuff for Peggy to do that feels like a natural extension of her teaching interests, aside from the cheerleading squad and tutoring those kids in Mexico.
King of the Hill season 8 - season takes time, go!

-So now we get the full transition to digital ink and colors (outside of a few episodes which I assume are holdovers from the previous season).
-Oh so this is where we get the "not making christianity better" episode/gags.
-Speaking of Dale, he gets dissed and wrecked quite a few times this season.

"Could a prepubescent girl kick your ass?" "Probably."
"Dale shut your skinny no-hot-dog-eating mouth."
And of course Dale freaking out about lice, XD
-It was fun to see more of Luanne and John Redcorn this season, even if the Luanne episodes are... kinda still in S6 territory (the pork salesman and the boxing episode... also I see Mike DiMartino directed the boxing episode)
-I see the Megalo Dale episode was mainly a digitally-colored production.
King of the Hill, season 7 - alright, time for a bunch of observations and takes.

-The overall feel definitely tries to bring things down a bit from the wackier Simpsons-esque tone of season 6.
-There's a lot of Bobby-centric episodes here, from the opening several weeks to even the finale.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds - mainly played through the available cups for now (I need to dive into some of the deeper stuff later), but I need someone to explain what Sorcery made me have more fun with this than MK World, and I barely interact with Sonic stuff these days 0__0
V/H/S 99 - Ranking the segments against each other:

1. Ozzy's Dungeon
2. To Hell And Back
3. The Gawkers
4. Shredding
5. Suicide Bid

No surprise Ozzy's fuckin' ruled, but To Hell and Back was no slouch either. Not much of a framing story here, but the stop motion shorts were pretty funny.
Been playing through Silent Hill F.

On one hand, the game is a legitimately disturbing look into the dehumanizing nature of 1960s Japanese gender norms...

... but on the other hand, there's a part where you get a cool-ass fox arm to kick evil monster ass with.

Video games are great y'all.
Maybe this is because of the spooky season, but I can't help but think about how most people in the analog horror scene online don't tend to rely on sets or actors, just learning some editing softwares and hacking away until they achieve something. These fuckin' AI evangelists, I stg -__-

you're thinking about Sora (evil tech product). I'm thinking about Sora (hero of the keyblade). we are not the same.
Came across an art account on tiktok (@/DumpsterWizard) who's recently been doing a weirdly specific set of art pieces that I low-key adore: King of the Hill characters dressed as Gachiakuta characters.

You did indeed read that correctly.
New #cosplay fitting for spooky season! Turns out I had everything for it lying around in the closet, so here's Tanaka from #TheSummerHikaruDied!

He also single handedly revived the ninja gaiden franchise in the 2000s, guy was massive influential.

rip to a really wild guy :( Here's harada's reaction.
So the official Slim Jim account on tiktok is very obsessed with videos of pizza place employees doing extreme dough spins/flips...for some reason.
October 13th. #albumaday2025. Slow Crush - Aurora // Intensely moody slowcore/shoegaze on this album. Production's on-point, and the songs are definitely a vibe if you want to stew in feelings of melancholy.
October 12th. #albumaday2025. Sanguisugabogg - Hideous Aftermath // Guttural as hell, a brutal kick to the nuts, just an altogether nasty-ass metal record.
October 11th. #albumaday2025. Perturbator - Age of Aquarius // Perturbator's latest album sees a mix of the cinematic pulse-pounding synths of their mid-2010s output, the more gothic post-punk of Lustful Sacraments, and some of their most rhythmically complex beats yet. Another great record!
