The Bravery/Faith stats in FFT are so good because many players don't realize they are there. A character can have as high a bravery stat as possible, but if your bravery is too low or your faith is too high your characters will threaten to abandon your army forever.

Having lived through two cat 5 Caribbean hurricanes: Jamaica will require aid for years. The devastation's hard to overstate. This is our new norm under climate change.
