You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

sitting here trying to think why this is so heavy on my heart.
but. my grandparents survived a genocide that most people don’t know about, that many deny.
we have a duty to bear witness and tell the history. we are future ancestors. we have to know the story.

It’s astonishing to me when I see Native people defending what this administration is doing. They would not hesitate for one moment, to deliver this cruelty to you, too. In fact, our peoples are ones that should be the most familiar with this history, since it’s been that way since first contact.
