A Reference Of Female-Fronted Punk Rock: 1977-89

I did a thread on this years ago on Twitter so I thought I would bring it here. This is a compilation I discovered in the early 2010s and I'm going to post each song from all 12(!) discs.
“You Light Up My Life” the #1 hit of 1977!!

Politics people posting about music, always the worst genre of posts.

Youtube has announced that all low-res videos (i.e. older ones) are to be automatically AI upscaled to HD.
Creators can opt-out on a per video basis (but the channel may be long abandoned).

When researching props or behind the scenes, old videos are useful, but not if upscaling produces artefacts.

Let's Learn about types of ghosts
Hell, 1977 is a perfect example of this. The height of the punk explosion and also the year of Debby Boone’s “You Light Up My Life.”
Pretty sure more than 250 people listened to Disintegration. 🙄
Saga means this btw bsky.app/profile/toms...
People need to stop retconning literally the worst era in American popular music history into something it wasn't, just because there were also some amazing records that like 250 people happened to be hunting down and listening to
Roughly 1978-1982 is my favorite era in music and just look at the mainstream charts! There’s shitty music in every era and experimental post-punk wasn’t exactly topping the Billboard 100. 😉

Fair enough but I disagree with that theory because I was a teen in…2001!
If we’re talking “favorite eras in music” mine is like 1978-1982 or something and if you look at the mainstream charts back then…
Also 1989 is not "a perfect music year" because there are a lot of dud albums in this tournament lmao. There isn't a perfect music year in general though, there's always good, bad, and mediocre.
Or it might be and they just don't know it. 😉
Halloween should be a federal holiday. 🎃
