I see one of the lists I'm on is making the rounds again - hello new followers, lovely to see you ❤️

I'm Tim! I'm a solo Game Dev from Scotland & I make a variety of different games in different styles & release... some of them.

Pixel art, weird music & good stories are what I try to provide!
I'm fairly sure people know, but the problem is he keeps being the one getting the funding & making these movies happen, ends up as a producer & gets himself cast. Tron: Ares wouldn't have existed without him (which you could argue would be a good thing).
Dude my blackcurrant squash just went up by like 20% from last week & I'm about to lose my mind. I can already barely get any meat in my budget, now they're coming for my juice??
How do you get this lost?

Sir you are a digger and that is the sea.
Jesus Christ I hope you're complaining. I'd be down the school the next day kicking up so much shit they'd have to close for the week.
I think, unfortunately, a lot of people are just... very boring.

Fwiw I'd breed giant snails & pioneer the mollusc jockey circuit, making millions from the bookies while only needing to build a racecourse 20m long. Instead of a glue factory for failures, there's just a large vat of garlic butter.
It is wild that this always happens. I've made silly little hypotheticals before, just wanting to have some fun & then a pseudo intellectual doldrum of a person always has to come along & be like "but what if I engaged in bad faith to make myself feel smarter" & I just don't understand those people.
Not in its entirety, obviously, but he lobbied, fundraised & made it happen which is one of the reasons he's got a producer credit.
Oh they know, but Jared keeps funding these himself & then putting himself in them, so there's not a lot to be done 😂
And... is the ghost ok? 🥺
Man, digimon has changed since I was a kid

Unavowed is 70% off during the Steam Autumn Sale!

Embark on a party-based, multi-branching urban fantasy game about magic and monsters in New York.

It was also an IGF nominee and was called "one of the best adventure games ever made" by PC Gamer.

Yeahh that's the difficult part for a lot of people. I'm "lucky" in that sense, but also unlucky that I didn't get in sooner, so I don't have more in demand skills :( Real catch 22 out here.

Praying that the AI bubble bursts soon so folks like you can get back into a good place! Much luck ❤️
Nah you should be scared honestly 😂

I swapped careers to tech 7 years ago, so I'm especially fucked by the disappearance of entry level jobs, BUT it also means that if my money runs out, I can fall back to my old career while I figure something new out.

What scares me more is never having tried!
That's why I'm currently putting all my efforts (and savings) into trying to set myself up as my own thing. I've got about a year before money runs out, and ofc any money I earn extends that deadline... after that... who knows 😅
I have yeah, I've read that & a few others talking about the shrinking of the job market, especially in tech & the automation of the interview process due to the ridiculous saturation of applicants... horrendous.
I had the exact same thing happen a few months ago. I worked in VR training, creating systems specific to customer needs in Unity, using Quest 2/3 - really specific knowledge overall. Applied to a place that does exactly that on Sunday night, got rejected by an automated email at 7am Monday morning.
Sorry, I'm just very vocal.
If I'm gonna make sloppies, you'd better believe there won't be a clanker involved. All of mine will be sloppy natties.
Bilewater is an atrocious first visit. It gets easier once you've spent some time there, but I genuinely disagree with the design choices made for your first experience of the place - it's cruel in multiple ways & for no real benefit.
I've been extremely glad to have been just marginally offline enough to avoid a couple of rounds of 'discourse'. This sounds exhausting.
I've had a few of those. So clearly no one has looked at it, it's just been fed through an LLM & automatically tossed. Horrific business practice.
I'm bad for remembering to leave reviews, but I can say that the phone call where I was desperately trying to click the options the farmer just wouldn't say was devastating & wonderful.
