I once drew up a list of 13 of my favourite (men’s elite) classics and called them the Holy Thirteen. There are now, erm, 17, but I still think of them as the 17 races of the Holy Thirteen. (Still thinking about the women’s list).

Here they are, with handy emojis (h/t @statsoncycling.bsky.social)
Lamb and cumin biangbiang noodles 🇨🇳 at Xi’an Biangbiang Noodles Aldgate East, Wentworth Street E1. There’s a burgeoning Chinatown in the Aldgate / Spitalfields area, where you can get stuff like this - flavourful and warming. The noodles are pleasingly chewy. #redharesrestaurants

In the end, only racism will be left as a solely right wing activity
No
Italians have realised that there are two Giorgia Melonis. One talks about “defending our borders”. The other invokes “European solidarity”.

If Nigel Farage came to power in Britain, would he “melonise” himself?

Had a colleague who had three, wanted a fourth and had triplets.

It must have been difficult, but he somehow wrangled nearly three years of parental leave.
Agreeing to a third child was my biggest life mistake, but the husband really wanted three. I love all my children dearly, but once you have three you are outnumbered and it makes day to day life the seventh circle of hell.
Bakso 🇮🇩 at Pino’s Warung, Camden Stables Market NW1. Now that it’s getting colder, I find noodle soups comforting and warming. And I didn’t think I’d find bakso in London. The rendang looked good too, maybe next time (redoing a busted hashtag). #redharesrestaurants
Shrimp kong bāgā (smash burger with breaded fried shrimp) and miso loaded fries (fries topped with pickled ginger, kewpie mayo and nori) 🇯🇵 🇺🇸 at Hambaagasuuteeki, Buckingham Palace Road SW1. This place does Asian inspired burgers, and they’re very tasty indeed #redharesrestaurants
Bourbon and virgin oak casks, accentuates the vanilla and chocolate notes. Still tastes like chocolate covered raisins though
Last crew came by last night about 10:15. Kids too, probably 11 or 12.

I did stay up till midnight just in case
i don’t care how old someone is. if they come to my door and politely say “trick or treat,” i am giving them candy
If ASEAN were worried about state capture by China, they’d expel Myanmar and Cambodia.

I’m going back specifically to read Anna’s post!
In the Swiss Alps, ignored a “danger sharp drop” sign, went beyond the barrier to collect an interesting stone. My mother found me playing with it, dangling my feet off a 300 foot cliff. She couldn’t come down to get me, I had to be coaxed back up.

I was 6, and yes, incredibly stupid.
What’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever done? I don’t mean “cheating on your partner” stupid, I mean stupid stupid. Like, once, I had this bubble bath which smelled absolutely delicious, so I took a big glug of it. That kind of stupid. (It did not taste delicious.)
Now that Francesco Mancebo has retired, there’s nobody in the professional peloton older than I am. That really does make me feel old.
Happy birthday Anna!
Jollof rice, suya chicken, coleslaw and salad 🇳🇬 I love African #workscran day, the work canteen always makes a good effort. Jollof rice needs to be a regular item.
It’s pretty good. I just killed a bottle.
Thickened sauces with cornstarch. I accept this is more southern China than northern.
In Asian (both East Asian and South Asian) culture, it’s a polite mode of address for an older lady. You’re basically saying that they’re of your parents’ generation, and therefore worthy of the same respect.
I’m sure I’m not the first person to have this idea for a T shirt, but am pleased with the result 😁
To understand this, I had to imagine what it would be like if a City supporter gave me a City jersey but I just happened to command the armies of Christendom.
Mar Awa III, patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East, also born in Chicago, gave Pope Leo a Cubs jersey.

We take no joy criticising a young left-wing UK political figure who has often spoken up for workers' rights and progressive causes. But these barely coherent comments from Zarah Sultana on Ukraine sum up much of what is wrong with her wing of the left www.instagram.com/reel/DQT62ys...

A good office chair with proper lumbar support is close to £200, and a L shaped height adjustable desk is way more than £900. Bell is arguably economising.
