It is a normal response to an upcoming brain surgery to plan to host multiple TTRPG sessions, yeah?

I might be physically unwell, but re-watching Spy X Family is healing my heart.

It is easy to find ways things could be our fault so that we can feel that we had agency over them. Don't let that feeling convince you that you are wrong somehow. Thank you for making it through. 🫂

The Harrison Armory e-warfare department has infiltrated my computer and is trying to stymie progress on recording for the next #LancerRPG video
A non-hackerized OBS pop-up reading: "Insufficient disk space: There is not sufficient disk space to continue recording."

a lot of people are finally waking up to the importance of the 3rd amendment. As a 3A absolutist, i think it should be illegal for soldiers to be quartered anywhere in this country. they should be camping under the open sky at all times. all military bases and barracks are unconstitutional.

The Advantage program was a lifeline for New Yorkers like Kasha, a working mom struggling to get out of a shelter and into stable housing.

But when then-Gov. Cuomo slashed funding, homelessness surged.

These are political choices. We can choose differently.

100%, it feels like almost a decade of craft and ingenuity and beautiful unrepentant weird had to happen in order to make that jump.

A next-generation sequel perhaps.

It is the latest entry in the franchise that includes Van Helsing (2004) and The Brothers Grimm (2005)
Movie poster for Brothers Grimm (2005). Proudly featuring the brothers' tagline "No curse we can't reverse / No spell we can't break. / No demon we can't exterminate" (sic)

Like, when I tell you I filled a design complication with a minigame where sometimes people are hunted by their own Pyramid-Head style monster and each time they meet it gets more nuanced, so it works as both one-shot beastie and recurring-nemesis.

Me: Trying to figure out how a particular kind of trauma response being maladaptive could be mirrored as a form of representational horror.

This might be one of the most "This Is Not A Place of Honor" things I have ever written:
Spoopy-font text reading "9 ~ Parlor Car: Sets of fine chairs are clustered to-and-fro across the car. Their worn upholstery suggests long nights of camaraderie and shared confidence. Now the lamps on the walls have sputtered out and the seats have rotted through."

And they have better ebooks available anyways

I love my very normal writing notes
The notes read "Self Decay? Rotting Train? Oozing!"

this is a big reason why I am a huge proponent of writing and even playing trash.

Like...there's so many TTRPGs that sell themselves on light floofiness and progressiveness and inclusiveness, then you open it up and it's just "you meet 2d6 orcs worth 25 XP each" D&D shit again.

...cultural trappings of Western mores, we tend to (for better AND worse) be more able to live with contradiction. I can come to you and say "listen, if you design some D&D shit, you're essentially reproducing Gygax's horrible ideas. That, however doesn't make YOU a bad person". Turns out, ...
