Dieser Trailer mag etwas irreführend sein, denn der Film ist mehr episches Bühnenstück als Action-Epos. Aber ich mach immer mal wieder gerne Reklame für Peter Brooks "Mahabharata" (1989). Die gelungenste filmische Adaption eines heldenepischen Stoffes, die ich kenne.

Maoisten und buddhistischen Fanatikern, die schließlich in einem lokalen gewaltsamen Aufstand gipfelte. Klingt sehr bizarr, macht im größeren Kontext der sog. "Kulturrevolution" aber durchaus Sinn.

A not too battered box for the framed jigsaw this post quotes. A very cool space battle drawn by a child a long time ago on the rear of the box. There are flying saucers and alien astronauts attacking (or defending themselves against?) a different design of spaceship. Perhaps an invading race?

Manche Bücher haben eine lange Reise hinter sind, so auch “Fairwater” von @rainlights.net . Fans des Schräg-Mysteriös-Düsteren kommen auf ihre Kosten. Das Besondere. Wir haben dem Buch nicht nur ein neues Kleid, sondern auch Illustrationen von @cfsrebalus.bsky.social spendiert. /1
Vor einem Hintergrund mit Farbverläufen zwischen Hellgrau und Schwarz, sieht man das Cover von "Fairwater" von Oliver Plaschka, ebenfalls in Grautönen. Es zeigt einen riesigen Vollmond, der über dem Negativ einer Stadtkulisse mit Hochhäusern und Laternen scheint, in die sich das Verlagslogo einfügt. Im Mond findet sich der erste Teil des Titels, "Fair", das "Water" folgt direkt in einer Linie im Himmel. Über dem Mond, parallel zu dessen Krümmung, sieht man den Autorennamen, in der rechten, oberen Ecke steht: "Sonderausgabe mit Illustrationen von C. F. Srebalus" Außerhalb des Covers sieht man die Ankündigung: "Das Finale für 2025", dann folgt erneut das Logo von ohneohren.

"The Honey Month" von Amal El-Mohtar ist ein ausgesprochen charmantes, poetisches kleines Büchlein. Einen Monat lang kostet die Autorin jeden Tag eine andere Sorte Honig und davon inspiriert gibt es dann ein Gedicht oder kürzeren Prosatext.
