Although it is entirely a coincidence without meaning, I still think it's funny that two of the major characters in the Omni-crisis are named Bove (cow) and Bovino (little cow)

Very few provisions on the Constitution have a meaning as readily and definitively discernible from text and history as the Citizenship Clause. All credible evidence leads to the same place. If self-proclaimed originalists can’t get this one right, they discredit the entire project of originalism.

During ratification of the 14th Amendment, senators discussed whether the Citizenship Clause would apply to the children of immigrants and resoundingly concluded that it did. The text and history all point in one direction and the counter-arguments are patently fraudulent. I am going to lose my mind
The evidence is the text. All you have to do is read the Constitution.

the idea that a handful of conservative legal scholars have an understanding that should supersede a settlement affirmed my generations of american is astoundingly arrogant, and the idea that trump — or any president — can unilaterally overturn that settlement is just despotism

“We knew very well what we were electing” isn’t a defense of Trump’s actions. It’s an admission of your complicity.
CURTIS: All of us need to wake up every morning & say, 'what am I doing to make immigrants feel welcome' regardless of an individual says

BASH: But he's not just an individual. He's the president calling an entire community garbage

C: We knew very well what we were electing. We wanted a disrupter

I wish it were possible to get an honest survey of Americans on the question "which of these administration officials should be hanged by the neck until dead?"

This article opens with a 3-year-old forced to represent herself in court. We live in a fundamentally sick country.
There is no sight that more efficiently puts the lie to immigration “court” than the common sight of children “representing themselves.” Children too small to climb into the chair, children in pajamas who don’t know where they are, children not yet old enough to speak.

More than a dozen undocumented minors were forced to make their case in front of an immigration judge as the Trump administration ramps up removal proceedings.

The Trump regime's vision for America (blood and soil white supremacy) gives citizens nothing to be proud of, nothing to aspire to, nothing to love. Who would sacrifice for such a country? Who would work for its greatness?

Because there are only about 250 red wolves left in the world, Ayita's 13 pups represent about 5% of the total population
NC Zoo: Three-legged red wolf who helped repopulate species has died
According to the North Carolina Zoo, Ayita, a 13-year-old red wolf, died. The zoo called Ayita a "champion of her species" and gave birth to 13 wolf pups and was a grandmother to at least 10 more pups...

Another stabbing in Charlotte being attributed to an immigrant. This occurred last night and is unrelated to the stabbing in August.
Man charged for stabbing on Charlotte light rail may not be a legal citizen, court documents say
WCNC Charlotte reported that there was no bond set for Solarzano because he is in the country illegally and "has been deported previously." WRAL is working to confirm this information.

Obviously Trump is terrified of being impeached. The only reason he wanted to be President again is so that he won't be punished for his many crimes. Removing him from office is just a step toward putting him in jail and he knows that. The Democrats' failure to even try is blatant malpractice.

41 minutes of watching two shipwrecked men trying to flip a boat and signaling for surrender/help before firing on them again reminds me of the 9.5 minutes Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd’s neck, in that it’s an agonizingly long time to be killing helpless people who clearly posed no threat.

If birth in the United States does not confer citizenship, and if all citizen immigrants can be denaturalized by executive order, then literally no one in America has a guarantee of citizenship.

Every American’s citizenship becomes merely the revocable gift of the god-king.

I can't stop thinking about the purported drug smugglers being murdered by the US military. The punishment for drug offenses isn't the death penalty. This is just bloodlust and men in suits playing with lives they don't care about. It's truly grotesque and gravely compromises this country.
