Whichever fuckwits over at CBC decided to run ads over the opening ceremony should be fired.

I’m constantly reminded about assumed knowledge.

Today I am getting a tyre repaired, and I left a locked phone with the tech to unlock my car.

They didn’t know that you *don’t* have to swipe the phone near the car. You just have to walk up to it.

I humbly apologized after explaining it.

I noticed very shortly after moving here that there’s very little real journalism being done this side of the world. CBC proving me right once again.
Premier Eby calls out treason of those meeting with American officials to break up our nation.
CBC chastises Eby saying blunt talk will encourage the treason "curious" to commit treason.
Since when are we worried about those who are "curious" about treason?

Calgary-based data analyst John Santos warns that that kind of language could push people toward separatism.

La la la, just Oscar nominee and multiple award winning Frank Darabont casually listed as director for two episodes of Stranger Things.

This is how Danielle Smith is fixing healthcare.

Here's a screenshot with grey text on a grey highlight over a white background, to pay a bill online. I literally can't read this.

When I use text recognition in macOS Preview on this screenshot, I finally can read it, but there is also a typo.

Samsung: “You need 2FA to log in”
Also Samsung: *can’t deliver an SMS*

Aside from the fact that they’re using text messages for 2FA in the year of passkeys, what the heck is going on over there?

Thinking about the systems I’ve built, and two stand out.

1. I designed and built the core data architecture underpinning a large-scale banking loyalty platform that serves millions of customers, and processes high-volume, high-value transactional reward calculations.

Two from Calgary Expo:

Christopher Lloyd walks into a washroom where I’m cleaning out a coffee urn for the green room. I say, “I guess you’ve discovered our secret”, and he goes, “Ha!”

Next day, just me in the room, Anthony Daniels comes in and asks me for a cup of hot tea. I make good tea.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

I wouldn’t mind having apps for everything if people just wrote software properly in the first place, and respected memory usage, user experience, user interface design, assistive technology, proof reading their own documentation, and not using web views everywhere. Write native code, you cowards.
