I bought Dustborn in the sales for £3.99. What sold me on the game was the bad reviews, like when people cry "woke" and get triggered by Pronouns, then you know it has to be a pretty good game.

Eternal Strands and Forspoken are on this list and I actually liked both of them a lot. I especially reccomend Eternal Strands due to the character interactions and romance system.

Fuck it go play Dustborn as well!

Based on what the dev studio is saying about their game, this is deeply troubling and a reminder that monopolies are bad for both business and art. Maybe there’s another side to this story, but even if there is, those of us who make a living from Steam have good reasons to be concerned.

This is true. As soon as we start working with an actor in a studio, the rewriting begins and the end result is always better. That's what we stand to lose with "text-to-speech" — the interpretation, reimagining, elevation of the original text.

If your game has voice acting, then working with the voice actors is half of your writing process. It's not complete until you've heard it interpreted and reimagined by a voice actor. And they always reimagine it in ways that elevate the writing, in ways you never would have imagined yourself.
