This isn't some anomaly. Those racist hateful little shits were taught this, everyday, by their parents, their peers, their environment. They were taught to deny their ancestors, their real heritage. And more than anything they were taught to continue to choose to be hateful and racist

My father did try to hide things from me. Like my ancestors, my real heritage, who my grandmother really was, who my grandfather really was. That we're Yuchi, that we're from escaped enslaved Africans, that we're pirates, that we fought AGAINST slavery in the Civil War.

I was taught to call Black people n-words, Latinos s-words, Asian people g-words, Middle Eastern people sand n-words, and Natives Melungeon and s-words.

At 37 I found out I'm part Black, Native, and not nearly as Euro as I was told. I'm 47. They were taught this they're entire lives like we were.
