I just hope they have answers soon. Pat was a good man and his family is hurting so much right now.

My relationship with my family is complicated. I’m happy they’re visiting, I just would appreciate a bit more notice, especially when you consider that they’ve already been asking me about my plans for Christmas.

At least they’re not staying with me. They just want to meet Homer.

Talking to a friend this morning:
Me: yeah, my family always wants to know my plans months in advance but they give me maybe a week’s notice when they come to town.
Tonight:
Mom: yeah, so we’re going to Iowa this week for [thing] and thought we’d swing by your place on our way home Friday.

Oh to be a fluffy kitty napping on a rumpled up blanket
Homer, a fluffy brown and white cat, lays on a rumpled up light blue blanket, showing his fuzzy white belly. His cares are like his thoughts - completely nonexistent

Also, this worked out in my favor when I was in high school and had braces. I could get up an hour earlier than usual, drive to Bismarck (also on CT) for an early orthodontist appointment, then get back to New Salem in time for the first bell.

This confused my friends when they’d ride the bus home with me for a sleepover. I would explain that we were on “fast time” and they would accept that.

Even if they don’t have a sticker up I push buttons in the hopes that one of them will make the noise stop

I lived in the central time zone but my school was in the mountain time zone. Every morning I’d get on the bus at 8:15 and get to school an hour and five minutes later at 8:20. After school I’d get on the bus at 3:30 and get home 45 minutes later at 5:15.

Bsky, sate my curiosity & drop some personal lore.

Me? I played hockey for years - street and ice hockey. And, at only 5' tall & about 100-105 lbs. then, I inexplicably chose to play defense instead of wing or center.

Also, I was a Tower of Terror bellhop at Disney World.

Can y’all please be on the lookout for my bike? Last seen in Elliot Park. It is a black Biria bike with red pedals and stickers of local news orgs on the bottom tube. It also has a Brooks saddle and adapters for Wolf Tooth pogies on the handlebars.
