Today I passed a billboard w/ an ai-ass nativity scene beneath a giant cosmic Jesus and big text asking "Do You Love The Man As Much As The Baby?" and I choked on the coke zero I was drinking while driving and I stifled a cough and the bubbles foamed up through my nasal passages. I felt so present.

LLMs are an inherently evil technology because you can effortless override its entire training corpus with synthetic data (which is a huge part of training now) and just have it fullthroatedly generate endless rhetoric and mistruths. If Elon Musk can do this then governments can and will do it.
It's now stating affirmatively the opposite of reality.

35 years ago, I wrote this article about the Super Famicom AKA SNES. It had everything I could dig up about Nintendo's new 16-bit console and man, my excitement levels were off the charts. It just sounded incredible! And indeed was. I even mention its possible CD-ROM upgrade! 🤯
