I'm sorry, I get that we all have our own s**t but it's incredibly weird that anyone ever thought this quote was meant to stoke the embers of violence, found it to be a radicalizing moment in their life, or is still angry about it a decade later.

A sickening (pun intended) reality of the US health care system is that insurers and employers grouse about utilization (using the services we paid for) and actively work to dissuade it. Then they grouse about the costs of multimorbid, complex care. It’s almost like $$ is the sickness.

This is the whole “condemned to repeat it” part. The US, with its ridiculous incarceration rates and policies, has long had centers where certain demographics had been concentrated. We looked the other way because those people did illegal stuff. Expand the definition of illegal, and here we are.
