UPS has circled around my neighborhood for over an hour and has yet to hit my block. I can WALK through my neighborhood and hit every block in a hour. Fascinating to watch the tracking on their website.

My conclusion is that Diaz wanted to go. This was rumored months ago and it turns out to be true. It's time to retire the trumpets and move on.

Cody Bellinger and Pete Alonso signing, with each one splitting time at 1B and DH wouldn't be a bad idea. Then add another set-up reliever, at least one more top of rotation starter and one more outfielder and I'll be OK.

#MetsSky On the Diaz news, for those who understand this, I'm not ready to rend my #Mets garments and sit shiva. With what we have in the bullpen & one more solid arm (many are still available), Devin Williams is an experienced closer and we'll have a bullpen with which we'll be proud.

Good morning #MetsSky. Another cold day on the Delmarva. Googled my meds yesterday. Five of them lower my resistance to cold. Explains a lot. New cell phone arrives today. That'll confound me a few hours. Given what's happening at the winter meetings, phone could be the big excitement for the day.

Progress: Delivered holiday cards to neighbors around community with whom we exchange cards. Took an hour. Great news - I walked entire route with only minor knee pain, not uncommon for two weeks after a cortisone shot. I'll be ready 1/1/26 to hit the roads my way! Thinking about goal for year.
