I'm old too and have no idea why they owned it, or why someone bought it for 12 million. Just happy we can afford the stuff we need and every so often, something we want.
November 20, 2025 at 10:22 PM
Oh I know they do. They are extremely generous. I was making a generic comment about those with ridiculous money.
November 20, 2025 at 9:41 PM
I was about to go nuts. Anyone who submits a blank ballot should have their voting privilege removed for life. Glad it's just a sample.
November 20, 2025 at 9:25 PM
My only generic thought is that those with ridiculous money could really do so much more to support those who are homeless, hungry and helpless. It's their money & their decisions, but I know what I'd be doing if it were mine.

I hope the woman's baseball games will be broadcast in Delaware, or be available through some app.

Rick Reed was pretty gutsy coming across the picket line as a replacement player. John Franco, was Mets union rep and was pretty clear he disapproved. Franco conceded he was a little too vocal in 1997 & welcomed Reed when he became a Met. Pitched a hell of game against the Braves in the post-season.

Awww thanks Ed, but I'm just one of many here who are keeping good thoughts for you. Besides, your rehab might motivate some of us (including me) to do more to get better hold of our health issues!
November 20, 2025 at 8:15 PM
I can imagine. Was in a cast after the original knee surgery in 1974 ... but only four weeks. I still had three weeks to rehab so that I could walk down the aisle. You've had a much longer and more difficult path to walk, but I know you'll get there. No doubts here!
November 20, 2025 at 7:13 PM
Good for her! I think that's outstanding. I racewalked my half-marathons, 5Ks, 10Ks, etc. with this knee through last year. Still want to do more of then, but at 73 with cardiac issues, I don't think that's happening.
November 20, 2025 at 7:10 PM
Alright Ed. Progress is a wonderful thing. After the six weeks, can you start some physical therapy?
November 20, 2025 at 7:07 PM
That's usually the biggest reason for failure - not following the program. As long as I can perform my normal ADLs (activities of daily living), I'll stick with cortisone and my current leg intact.
November 20, 2025 at 7:02 PM
Oh I know. Been avoiding knee replacement with cortisone shots since Sept 2007. Just didn't need them that often before the anti-inflammatories were taken away. Glad we can both get relief!

Life was so much easier with NSAIDs. 💊
November 20, 2025 at 6:27 PM
Ooohhhh. 😂 I thought you were referring to the awful toilet puns that I was dropping all over.

Thank you. Counting the days because the nights are miserable.
November 20, 2025 at 6:26 PM
Oh I see what you did there!
November 20, 2025 at 6:14 PM
Well, just to close this out appropriately, poop jokes really aren't a first choice favorite of mine, but they are a solid number two.
November 20, 2025 at 6:10 PM
I guess I'm sitting in the golden seat for this one.
November 20, 2025 at 6:03 PM
I see it as my duty.
November 20, 2025 at 5:50 PM
A guy who has his kind of assets is just plain flushed!
November 20, 2025 at 5:44 PM
It's the best you can do with a crappy conversation.
November 20, 2025 at 5:29 PM
Look at the bright side. Inside of getting some wishy-washy cover-up, we are getting the straight poop!
November 20, 2025 at 5:16 PM
That $12M, with interest, might just be enough to cover the rest of Bobby Bonilla's contract. #LGM

Relief is less than two weeks away, assuming we can draw off enough fluid & the cortisone gets through the entire joint. My PCP is doing it instead of my orthopod for reasons way too long & boring to get into, but he's a guy I trust as much as anyone on the planet.

I almost never watch live TV, therefore few commercials. There are only about 6-8 shows that wife & I like. We watch them on the apps when we get around to it. Mets are always live! Also like watching old shows that we didn't see first time around (or that we really like) and use the apps for those.
