For millions of Americans, today will bring the chance to be heard.

If there's an election where you live, then you get to send a message on the policies and leadership you believe in - and begin changing the trajectory of this country.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

California, we have the power to stop election rigging, right now!

Did you get your ballot in? I did and so did my entire family. Remind everyone you know. 👊🏽

His question is so easy to answer though: It ends when he and other so-called "principled Republicans" stand up to the monsters in their own party.
From Ross Perot to Katie Porter, this is why those who bring the visual aids get further than those who assume everyone does math in their heads.

i want someone to ask mike johnson "should we be worried that you are always learning the news at your own press conferences, which is exactly when you are supposed to be answering questions about the news"

I think any story about Trump's autocracy should be mostly about the people and institutions who failed to stop it. This guy isn't a political genius, everything else just happens to be rotten. 'Toddler Consolidates Power In Household' is a story about incompetent parents, not shrewd maneuvering
Well done! Not creepy and horrifying at all.

This is a take-one-for-the-team moment.

Our country is dying, and Jack Smith knows it.

He’s asking to testify publicly, so you know he’s got receipts.

Doing this paints an even larger target on his back, and he's saying, "Fuck it."

Go Jack!

If I were the rest of the world, I’d do my best to ignore the United States for the next 3 plus yrs. With this madman in the White House, the rest of the world can’t trust the United States. As long as this madman is in the White House, the United States is not a force for good.

Voters should pick their representatives, not the other way around. Glad to get the chance to talk to some of the volunteers and organizers doing the hard work to make sure Prop 50 passes. This vote will have critical implications, not just for California, but for our entire country.

YES!!! Arizona isn’t playing.
Mike Johnson thinks he can hold democracy hostage, but Adelita Grijalva is done waiting for permission to get to work for her constituents.

NEW: AZ AG Kris Mayes and Adelita Grijalva have filed suit asking the court to declare Grijalva a member of the House once she's sworn in, and if Johnson won't do it, to allow someone else to. www.abc15.com/news/state/a...

Enough is enough. Adelita Grijalva was elected on September 23. The people of Arizona have a right to be represented in Congress.

During today’s pro forma session, when the House is called to order I will seek unanimous consent to insist upon the swearing-in of Adelita Grijalva.

🚨BREAKING: The State of Arizona filed a lawsuit accusing House Speaker Mike Johnson of violating the Constitution by refusing to swear in Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva. The plaintiffs argue that Johnson’s delay has deprived hundreds of thousands of Arizonans of representation.

It’s long past time for Speaker Johnson to do his job and swear in Arizona Congresswoman-elect Adelita Grijalva. She won on September 23rd that’s 26 days ago.
