If a PBP TD said that there were too many foxhunters in Ireland and then there was a arson attack on a hunting lodge that night, you can be damn sure that Simon Harris could join the dots.

He really should resign.
Nash: “I'm in no way saying that there's any causal link between remarks made by politicians last week and a criminal act here at Drogheda, but people need to be sensitive with their language…. They need to be responsible.”

Ged Nash also called on the Tánaiste Simon Harris to issue a statement on the arson attack, saying he is someone who is “never found wanting to comment on anything that might occur in our society” and has yet to comment on what’s happened in the town.

What a race for Bearman though. Delighted the VSC gave him a bit of a nudge for 4th. He deserved it for his racing this weekend #F1

Much talk in the media of the number of spoiled votes. Little talk of Catherine Connolly pulling in the largest personal mandate in the history of the Republic (and with some constituencies yet to report).

Could have seen that match out better but hard not to be excited by what Cunha and Mbeumo. Just different level of quality in attack this season. Still plenty to work on though as the subs did make us wobble. Can see the work Kobbie has to do to get back in contention. #MUFC #EPL

Interesting! 🤔😂
This is no longer the case, and the Taoiseach is now on his way to Dublin Castle for the declaration
The Taoiseach is not coming to Dublin Castle for the official declaration of Catherine Connolly's victory in the presidential election.

Whether intended or not, it's going to look very confrontational for the head of government NOT to be there to congratulate the new head of state

Not sure what his reason is but this looks like a particularly petty/pathetic move from Martin to finish a campaign which has not shown him in a good light

It’s telling that the way that the Irish Times frames this is in their politics email newsletter is ‘A disastrous day for FF and FG’ and not ‘a massive victory for Catherine Connolly and the United Left’

Dunno if sharing photos of the violent threats and hatred on spoiled votes and thereby giving those gowls the audience and coverage they want their otherwise mainly unseen messages to get is great tbh

The Ionas are going to claim ownership of the entire wad of spoiled votes, and the old firm parties are going to interpret that as a sign they need to move further to the right.

That should not be the lesson to learn from a left-wing landslide. But just watch 'em.

Expect a lot of far right voices claiming they got ~10% of the vote. Let’s investigate if that claim stands up to scrutiny!

Response from ppl who spoiled their votes [that ~10%]. From the pie chart you can see that the max far right-Catholic-ultras is 58% of that ~10%. #SpeirGhorm #Aras25

The hypocrisy of this is that Charles hosted Trump only a few weeks ago at Windsor & don’t tell me he has to, it’s his job.

Monarchy is THE job. Andrew has essentially been fired. The only difference is he has no power to damage the UK - so this isn’t some high moral position by Charles or Starmer
