🚨BREAKING -- Huda Ammori has been granted the right to appeal the proscription of Palestine Action via judicial review.

The Home Office tried to challenge the decision to grant Ammori a judicial review, and was struck down today by the Court of Appeal.

People who think Psychology shouldn't be anti-colonial or anti-oppressive, frankly, shouldn't work with the general public. If you are not against it, you are upholding it, and that is a dangerous position to be in if you are supposed to be treating people.
Activism for practitioners is one way of ensuring a better world, outside of just being a therapist. Activism for clients/patients is a fantastic way to reduce feelings of helplessness and empower clients.
You can't just therapise pain away when that pain comes from real and changeable circumstances. To believe in empowering people just through self-care is ignorant and comes from a deeply privileged place.
Psychology is inherently political. To be neutral isn't just complicit, it's nuts, especially in this day and age. Activism is some of the most important work we can do as practitioners.
The ignorance in some of these responses is why Psychology as a field is such a turn-off for those who aren't privileged. To call what Israel did not a genocide (newsflash: it literally is, according to the UN) supports, even condones and enables genocide and supporters of it.
Neutrality is not complicity – it’s clinical integrity.

Huge congratulations to Maria Corina Machado who has won the Nobel Imperialism Prize for steadfastly supporting Israel's genocide and calling on the US to invade her own country so she can be installed as puppet leader while Trump takes Venezuela's oil ♥️

Apparently our newest Nobel Peace Prize winner wrote to fucking Netanyahu for help in overthrowing the government of her own country dawg

JK Rowling’s favorite word since the 90’s has been poverty despite the fact she was raised upper middle class and was broke for a short while following her divorce like most people. This farce is especially disgusting considering she could spotlight UK poverty issues and DOESN’T

J.K. Rowling's anti-trans bigotry and the alt-right pipeline she's personified require her to undermine and perpetuate real misogyny, so she's browbeating a woman almost half her age who has already been subjected to plenty of sexual violence for playing Hermione

This is my issue with politics lately. Basically, every announcement assumes the reader has an utter lack of curiosity or knowledge to the point that it's just meaningless chaff.

The government's immigration policy is now the exact policy they dismissed when Kemi suggested it in spring.
Separately, what are we doing here?

Migrants already can't claim benefits before they get permanent residency, surely we remember this?

Migrants already pay NI contributions, again, extremely obvious.

So what actually is the notional policy change? Just the volunteering bit?
Working full-time is a scam tbh. Many jobs are so sedentary that they will send you to an early grave if you don't do an impossible amount of exercise everyday to remedy the negative impact of being sedentary

A grotesque display of opulence from the world's elite. Billionaires feast on taxpayer funded banquets while they back a genocide and burn the world.

But sure, migrants are the problem.

A lot of things about society suck a whole lot but one of them is that some single person will get filmed being a dickhead and then we’ll spend a full week hyperfixating on them.

It’s like the entire internet has pathological rumination.

Meet Marley, the first Witness Support Dog in training!

Marley is hard at work at the moment, going through training and being spoilt rotten with cuddles. He'll likely be in training for another year at least - stay with us on his journey to becoming a fully fledged Witness Support Dog! 🐾
