ah man, I remember folk changing contracts for consoles so often back in the day. Thinking that was even a thing seems so alien now.

GRAW was class, love the around the corner camera gun (I'm sure it had a slicker name than that).

Haven't quite delved into this area of weeb culture, nearest thing was watching Masked Rider as a kid (Sorry?) but I am jealous of Masked Rider's drip and how he can pull off a red scarf and lovely jacket.

Yeah Lowden is great too, obviously I'm a fan Xenoblade 3's Mio too.
I like most of the main cast, even Roddy Ho in this series is still a scumbag but also very funny.

As an original Xbox owner I was already in at the time, just on sequels alone - Dead or Alive 4 looked graphically more impressive than anything I'd seen.
The game that comes to mind that made me think "this is the future" was Dead Rising, just the amount of bodies on screen alone blew me away.

Had some Takis, I know folk that talk about them are spicy fiends but I grabbed a bag of "INTENSE NACHO" because I do like cheese.

However these are not even as intense as a bag of Wotsits, utter crap I thought and they're such a rip-off because what, they're American, like half the snacks we have?

Slow Horses is great, I still how Gary Oldman's character is actually just the best agent - but because of how he is either folk don't trust or want to be around him, the gimmick is still good 5 series in.

It's weird how exaggerated the characters can feel but then actually... are they?

I know there's a lot of games to be playing, but if you're one who never touched this because you don't really PC game... well I cannot recommend it enough.

a favourite little internet interactions recently was being in the Twitch Chat for Mystery Wrestling, and revealing to AEW wrestler and owner of Mystery Wrestling - Evil Uno, that Simon was a games-person.

For context, Evil Uno's big into games himself. Originally his character was Player Uno

Reminder that a lot of the people who made videogamer what it was are still in games media doing a fine job - @chrisbratt.bsky.social is doing the most important work of his career. @vgtomo.bsky.social is running Eurogamer (imagine explaining that to us ten years ago!). I'm doing Jokes on YouTube

Saw @apzonerunner.com post this and, I just, I'm so disappointed. I can't truly imagine the levels of shite it must make you and the folks who made that site (and logo) a big deal for so many people feel.

I would love this toy, but I almost want to see @ttechnoirr.bsky.social have it as much.

Forever associated with rats (complimentary)
Is this the best Beast Wars Rattrap toy ever?

I took a notion to draw a wee comic last night, based on my real-life experience where I felt bad for some sticks.
Comic page. 2 Panels.

Panel 1: Me walking my dog in the woods.

Caption: Not to brag - but I walk my dog, okay/

Caption: We often find ourselves in the local woods.

Panel 2: Me looking at a big stretch of boggy muck.

Caption: There's this one big stretch of boggy muck on the pack we take.

Caption: You're probably thinking that we just shouldn't go this way. Hey you might be right. First time for everything, as they say. Comic page. 1 Panel

Panel 1: Me and the dog walking over the boggy muck, elevated on sticks laid into the dirt.

Caption: Every few weeks, though - someone lays down a very useful series of branches so we can cross with ease.

Caption: That's nice isn't it? Someone taking the time and expending the effort to build a little bridge.

Caption: I often wonder who it is. Perhaps it's more than just one person. That's a comforting thought.

Panel 2: Me looking at a big stretch of boggy muck.

Caption: There's this one big stretch of boggy muck on the pack we take.

Caption: You're probably thinking that we just shouldn't go this way. Hey you might be right. First time for everything, as they say. Comic Page - 1 Panel. Me crossing the sticks, we see all the previous sticks crushed down deep into the dark mud.

Caption: It's funny how guilty I feel when a branch breaks - like I've undone their good work, y'know?

Caption: But within a weeo or two, there's a new set of branches ready to be trodden into the mud.

Caption: It's hard not to think about all those other branches, crushed down deper in the dark with every new layer. Comic Page 2 panels.

Panel 1: Me standing in the woods looking down at the path.

Caption: maybe it's my turn to lay down some branches for the next folk who come this way.

Caption: God knows it wouldn't take long - and I definitely have the time.

Panel 2: Shot of my hands holding the sticks I'd need.

Caption: Nah

Ten years ago today, my wee baby came into my life. She’s been a great source of pride all that time, and from her perch in the downstairs toilet, she never fails to make me smile.
